I don't blame Abrams or Rian but I do blame whoever was in charge and:

1. Didn't map out the story for the trilogy
2. Approved Rian doing what he did
3. Didn't just give Rian the third one. At least if Rian was doing it it would be a continuation of TLJ, JJ just ignored TLJ and added digs at it which are really embarrassing. It's kinda like if Whedon made fun of what happened in BvS in JL. I didn''t see these two in a long time so I don't remember if this was a case but TROS has a scene with Luke that is such a blatant dig at TLJ it was honestly painful to watch. Not only do we have a trilogy where every movie is just winging it but the director is actively making fun of the one who made the movie before him

There's a moment in TROS when someone says a name and a character who hears it changes his mind about something

So Abrams blatantly lied when saying he's ok with Johnson's TLJ, which was like a month ago. Jeez, this guy... and he has so much money in the production companies that we will never get rid of him.

Also Kennedy assuring Lucas they'll protect the characters he has created, will treat them as he would.

I don't see how that's any different than Ben Affleck telling Jimmy Kimmel he's still direting The Batman, then later saying he'd play an ape for Matt Reeves, or JL cast saying reshoots were minor, or Paul Rudd saying he's not Antman, Jason Momoa.....etc

Should JJ have said F*** RJ he's the reason I am in this mess lol

By the time rise of Skywalker came out, it didn’t matter what they did in that movie. Star Wars hasn’t been a thing in my life for years. It could never have a BVS like impact on me.
