Lounge of Justice - Part 90

Well damn. Okay, if that's the case I can probably see GL working on a TV format.

TV shows have improved a hell of a lot and are still getting better.

Well the cat's out of the bag now, maybe we'll get Zoe in GCS with Margot.

I suspect his "yes, just like comics" was sarcasm in reference to the remark about how only certain movies seem to fit with the rest, while others don't.

I've often joked that the X-Men movie timeline is the single truest depiction of comic continuity ever put to film, in that it makes absolutely no sense.

Yup I thinnk that's something DC is going for, lol.

Yeah now that I see the tweet Gunn was responding to, it's clear to me that by "just like the comics," he was referring to the part about how "some are connected and some aren't."

I want to be over the moon over "Superman and Lois" but the CW is meh.

Still, I will hope it wows me.

Roxanne
You don't have to put on the red light
Those days are over
You don't have to sell your body to the night
Roxanne
You don't have to wear that dress tonight
Walk the streets for money
You don't care if it's wrong or if it's right

The Harley getup from Suicide Squad has to be the most popular costume in recent memory. Halloween or not, It's inescapable

Benioff and Weiss rushed through finale season of Thrones RUINING the show because they wanted to move on to other things and now those things were taken away

Ah, justice lol

It’s not like they got fired so I wouldn’t say anything was taken away. They just are busy with other things.

Was disappointed with GoT like everyone else, but would’ve been interesting to see them have a crack at another big project.

Yes because if they were fired that is what the press release would say?

No one walks away from SW voluntarily.

They've already got the better duo in Favreau and Filoni.

Ahhh the Benoiff and Weiss hate reminds me of why I love the internet sometimes. Seeing everyone cheering their demise is glorious. I’m one of the 6 people that was fine with how GoT’s ending played out even if it was clear it was rushed to Hell. That said, their departure from Star Wars is probably best since they need time to wash GoT’s stench off of them.

But on another note, guys. What in the Heck is going on with Lucasfilms? Why is every SW production such a mess?

With CW's Superman and Lois show, the chances of getting another solo Superman movie have dimmed but there's one consolation (I hope), WB might continue of their earlier approach of Superman cameos in other DCEU movies (like Shazam 2), with or without Cavill, till they get some director who's interested in directing a solo Superman movie.

Which means no Superman reboot coming anytime soon and Superman will show-up in guest capacity in some DCEU movie down the line, I'm OK with that.

Also, with this tweet, James Gunn pretty much confirms that Matt reeve's The Batman is going to be it's own separate franchise, unconnected to DCEU. Just like in comics, there are some comic story-lines that exist outside of continuity.

For example, Grant Morrison's All Star Superman or Frank Miller's TDKR are not part of DC canon.

Which means Batman exists in DCEU, who's gone missing in BoP and in "The Suicide squad", I wonder how they are going to address that in next few years.

Funny how Matt Reeves deflected the question on Twitter and gave an answer that looked vague.
“Just to be clear: Of COURSE Batman will be part of the D.C. Universe. Batman will be BATMAN… In my comments from a while back about not being part of the DCEU, I was talking about The Batman being a story specifically about Batman… not about the others in the Universe.

That it wouldn’t be filled with cameos servicing other stories — that it would be a BATMAN story.”

With green lighting a separate Batman franchise, WB have made sure that they continue to get money from Batman franchise but they have failed to address the problem about what Batman is doing in DCEU. Same for Superman, in order to really get DCEU going forward they need to make Superman movie and Batman movie that exist within DCEU, not outside of it.
