CGI from Aquaman movie can be seen in set pictures, that's the most realistic looking cgi ever.

Perfect encapsulation of my thoughts! The PT, for all its flaws, was definitely more interesting than the OT. I'm not too high on it, and like everyone, wanted to love them but I just couldn't.

My brother is a big Witcher fan and a gamer. He thought Cavill killed it. Loves him in that role.

Sometimes you just fail to connect to a particular franchise. Never liked Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit. Same thing with Harry Potter and Game of Thrones. Maybe if I were into the books it would be different but some popular franchises I try and give up on very quickly.

I'm not a gamer so video game movies or shows don't usually interest me.

If you are thinking of the Witcher it is not based on video games, the games and the shows are both based on books.

I played the games and read all the books and thought the same. I was actually shocked he was able to pull of the game voice so well. The only person I had my doubts about was Yennifer but not anymore.

International doing about 1.2 of DOM, global at around 375M

50% Fri-Sun drop worst of all Disney SW films, average around 44%, if using average 3.1X leg will get to 550M DOM, TLJ legs will be about 480M, so might finish between 1.05B-1.2B, for a film that "ends" the 42-year franchise.

2015 TFA started with 230M DOM and finished with 3.7+ leg and global at 2.1B

So, will RJ get that trilogy still, sites reporting Kennedy will be gone (Grace Randolph saying she said that ages ago and was ridiculed), what will JJ do now? Release the Abrams trilogy cut? =P

I liked the stand-alone films but Kennedy totally mishandled the main series. Her departure wouldn't be surprising.

JJ will come to DCEU. He's invested money there, he has some power there. I don't think WB can veto him even if they would like to.

I'd be really surprised if Johnson's still getting his trilogy. He was one of the major forces that razed the trilogy. If Abrams had done the whole trilogy, it would have maybe been mediocre, but not straight-up bad. (Still haven't seen TRoS, but how can you salvage the trilogy after TLJ...)

Dunno where Randolph gets her info but sometimes she's right.


Honestly, one day, I'd love to see the prequel and sequel trilogy remade. The original trilogy, I hope nobody will ever try to remake it or whatever. The galaxy and lore are big enough, just those two latter trilogies IMO deserve another chance. It won't happen, but, that's what I think.

And what also won't happen is having Williams scoring it. His original and prequels trilogies are the pinnacle of film scoring. Listening to them always amazes me.

RJ ain't getting ****. They fired D&D for less, on the potential that they'll mess it up, and RJ actually DID mess it up. He gone.

They'll probably course correct the part where they didn't map out the trilogy, by getting Feige to map out a decade of 25 SW films leading to a final 2-parter directed by Russo brothers that they hope to make 4 billion before 2030 lol.

I respect RJ the same way I do Snyder. They took these characters and did it their way. Good or bad, but tis' was their vision. Hell, I consider RJ to be a better writer/director than JJ by far.
