I am happy I'm seeing so many people do a complete 180 on their opinion of Henry Cavill's acting after seeing The Witcher (and also saying I told them they should have watched Man from U.N.C.L.E.).

HC's acting is just fine in most cases but in some scenes he looks a bit stiff, but in any case, Superman is not a role that will require the most accomplished actor.

Mozart died when he was 35, Beethoven was half to utterly deaf a considerable portion of his life, and they composed things these modern Oscars winners can't get even close to. The world is such a place of irony.

Listening to this piece, Beethoven would have been a perfect composer for BvS. (I've just realized this Movement 2 theme is nearly identical to the BvS' Batman theme. Only instead of the two quarter notes there's a triplet.)

I've always thought Christmas Eve is a great time for ghost stories, maybe it's the weather or the short days. Perhaps it acts as a good counterbalance to all the cheerfulness, the season of hope and joy making horror all the more horrible by contrast.

Every year we watch "Ghost stories for Christmas with Christopher Lee", thoroughly enjoyable, unsettling stuff. M.R James knew how to write a scary story, and Lee's delivery is impeccable.
