Read that Carey Mulligan flick about revenge against men and whatnot. I don't think that ''twist'' worked on paper, but I'm optimistic to see it on the screen. Expect film twitter to be fully on board or just straight up hate it.

Watched The Gentlemen tonight. If Guy Ritchie just wanted to make more of those kinds of movies for the rest of his days, I'd be on board.

I bare discovered this band, only to find out they broke up long ago and the main dude was an abusive piece of gahbage to the lead singer gal. She by the way is REALLY out there.

But their weird techno-synth sound was almost a bit nostalgic. A fever type feeling. I don't know how else to describe their sound. Probably seen that video for their song 'Kept' dozens of times now. Probably the last thing them poor bastahs from that movie 'Under The Skin' heard before Scarjo ate them.

I thought this was supposed to be cinematic, but then the animation is a bit stiff, and I forgot that American stopped doing hand drawn for theater releases.

An animated Mortal Kombat movie preparing us for a live action one... oohh does this remind me of the days, of Mortal Kombat's first foray in the realm of live action, and that Journey Begins thing.

Fans are just crazy. I liked Ayer's SS, it could have been better but still we got Affleck as Batman in it, Viola Davis as Waller, Margot as HQ and Will Smith as Deadshot. Plus it got one Oscar and started SS franchise. Ayer giving classy response...

it was basically escape from new york + ghostbusters + dc supervillians.
^ that all sounds cool on paper.

ayer just needed more time to come up with a better script - time he was not allowed by the studio.

i still really liked will smith as deadshot in it though. wish he was back. oh well.

Nah, if anything, he got too much free control by the studio. He himself has stated the studio didnt put a time frame on the script, mistake in not making joker the main villain etc. Any real hands on suit would’ve pumped the brakes on that joker design. They didnt react till it was too late.

Hell, we still don’t know 100% who is looking over dc flicks. Hamada got the cred for Joker, but Todd Phillips stated that he and the other suits were against it. Now we get Jim Lee allegedly over seeing DC stories. Just give us one goddamn name and face, so we know who to properly blame or praise. Lawd.

I'm not surprised. I've seen her first flick and I knew she was the real deal. Also, I spoke to Hodson back in the day and her taste in action flicks is aces.

I'm pretty sure it was edited by a trailer house which explains it all really.

The movie looked like it was my cup of tea but something about it seemed like it wasnt going to be easily digestible to critics and such. Plus several of the jokes in the trailers seemed to thud. But this seems like a case where the trailers poorly represent the finisher product.

I'm not joking. I brought it up back when she was working on 'Shut In', way before she was attached to any of these cbms. Then she got the gig for bumble bee and batgirl. She loathes the movie SALT. I know that kinda sounds random, but it makes sense in context.

Rewatched bits of 'Silver Linings Playbook' the other night. Jlaw's character in that would probably be ''cancelled'' now by film twitter standards. I have no issues with said character, but the movie overall is just meh. DOR went full blown ham with that flick. Only positive was seeing Chris Tucker again.

I still prefer I Heart Huchabees.
