Lounge of Justice - Part 90

Years ago Evan Rachel Wood was my first choice for either MJ or Mera. I can still see her as the latter.

I think Vanessa Kirby could be a good Mera.

I'd like to see Gilpin in one of these, but preferably in a...crazier role, lol. Something she could have some fun with.

I like Kirby for Mera. Hell, my other choice would be Rebecca Ferguson, which would give us an overall stronger actress than Heard from the get go, but I kinda want to see her for another role. Samara Weaving with red hair and call it a day as well.

I'd save Gilpin for a WW villain.

I do like Vanessa Kirby. It's a shame that they didn't do a proper Birds of Prey movie. She was my choice for Black Canary.
That would've been as safe fan casting choice as Katheryn Winnick in the role. At least the latter actually does martial arts.

Do you want a cookie?

BOP was a good movie. There I said it.

I like cookies, too! :o

Pulled the trigger on that Spawn Kickstarter figure.

97 CAD with shipping fees. Lawd.

Scorpion has a mask, can grab things from a distance (''GET OVER HERE!'') and then cook things with his fire-breath (is that still a thing? I haven't played MK since the PS2 days)

He's all set.

Just saw Into the Wild and I don't know how many bad personal or professional decisions Emile Hirsch has made, but the guy should get way more recognition than he does.

That and more, he can now burn the ground you stand on, and if he does it while you block he burns you.

Injustice 2 Legendary Edition is on sale on Steam. I might grab it.

Sweet! I sold enough to order the Cavill 1/3 Prime1 Justice League statue and the 1/5 scale Superman vs Batman Premium Format statue from Sideshow.

Damn, just heard the audio of the doctor trying to look for Depp's finger, while Heard is heard crying in the background. She better have a good lawyer, mane. lol

Also, Ryan Murphy is an ass, but Weaving is in his next series, so I will watch.

Saw BOP last night. I can see why it didn't do well financially. It was trying to do too many things at once-- be quirky, have a semi-out of order crime movie chronology (Scorsese-esque), be a human, relatable story, and be an origin story. I think the script could have done with a few more passes. It's almost like they thought that having Harley Quinn was enough to make it work. The pacing was odd so that
by the time the group actually got together, the movie was almost over. And that scene where Dinah says, "That girl's got rage issues," and Helena yells, "I do not have rage issues!" and Dinah laughs, it just felt weird and unearned.

I did like Black Canary and the little we saw of Huntress and if we can get a more serious (still fun though) movie of them with Barbara Gordon, that could be really good.

I thought that was Emma Stone at first.

I have not seen Bloodshot yet, not past the first five minutes anyway. Time to get to it.

Vin Diesel is killing white people in Kenya, a generic action movie protagonist of lone American soldier killing many enemies and leaves the battle ground untouched.

Oh wait, he wasn't untouched, one of the enemies that got shot held a shotgun and shot it upward, and instead of the shell hitting Vin Diesel's face it hits the side of his belly. Generic disobedient super duper soldier wins the fight anyway, and maybe nobody attends his wounds.

Home he hugs his wife, and do we really need to see a shot of them hugging from every angle? I don't care how important this might play going into the plot, it looks dumb. I don't want to see different shots of a couple hugging from head to toe.

Ok, they attended to his wound, and many on his back, and a new one on his shoulder that didn't happen during the opening cutscene.

Our superhero in his pre-superhero phase who had superhero abilities anyway got drugged in one of the most BS ways possible; a needle completely masked by a full newspaper was injected into his system by a real quick bump, and no way to hit him. And we see evil villain McVillainous showing him the needle to show us he's evhul.

Why is camera shaking too much? Did the camera operator play Sonic Fighters for hours before working on set? Camera shakes even as Vin is running with a still camera focused on him. WHO THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA?

Villain dances to a song like StarLord in a meat fridge, like the meat Rocky punched in the first movie, and says his name is Martin X. I'll call him RockyLord.

Dominic's wife got her brain pierced, and she moved her thumb during that.
Oh no, that death was a fake out. What am I going to do with such revelation?
And our super duper hero dies in the first 12 minutes that should be known as; prologue.

I guess the villain should be charming and entertaining, but he leaves me indifferent. Our protagonist has the charm of a piece of wood and an origin like RoboCop. I think he might be Skwad's Rick Flagg turned RoboCop, and I do mean that version of the character himself, not hinting at the fact that actor played both roles.

This looks like poop, but I'm too curious to drop it and not watch the rest of the flick.

Who is played by none other than Dr. Crash test Doomy from Fan4stic.
