Lounge of Justice - Part 90

The Brigands of Rattlecreek

This is by far the darkest western I've ever read. Tis' bloody dark. Written by S. Craig Zahler (Bone Tomahawk, Brawl in Cell Block 99). Park Chan-Wook liked the script so much that he signed on to direct on scale. Last update on it was Amazon had given the greenlight, and McCounaghey was rumored to star. There is a character in this script the just screams custom made for Kurt Russell.

Guys i need your advice. Ive successfully avoided ever watching Alien 3 and Resurrection, I’m tempted to watch Alien 3 but from everything i know about the movie it’ll just end up making me angry because of how it sh**s all over the first two.

I need a fun 90s blockbuster to watch today, worth it? :funny:

Nah, I would rather watch 'Starship Troopers' if you looking for 90s blockbuster nostalgia. I rewatched LA Confidential the other day and it still holds up, man. The last big film noir type blockbuster if the 90s era. I kinda hope we get more of those with the current crop of actors, but not likely.

I say watch, only way you’ll know if you like it

What genre?

Underwater was a good watch. I was pleasantly surprised. Basically underwater Alien with other stuff thrown in. Good for a rental. They made the budget go far because it looks good.

Coyotes, bobcats and bears: Wildlife is reclaiming Yosemite National Park

covid is nature's shock troops to wear down our defenses.
the animals coming in after are the advancing armies.

some people in my neighborhood have started to see some gray foxes showing up on their lawns and backyards.
this has probably not happened for a long time. lol.

this almost feels like by design - that the earth is somehow fighting back against us.

i love how there's no fat in speed.
it just gets down to business asap.

reeves and bullock had great chemistry.
and dennis hopper is a great villian.

pure entertainment. simple story, great action, and great soundtrack too!

I do remember that movie being tremendously fun but I also remember Reeve’s acting being REALLY bad. Lmao

Who is that between LEGO Batman Joker and Brave & the Bold Joker?

Honestly, apart from the design I think the version from the Batman is honestly my favorite Joker. He's very underrated.

Haha well you got me there, I should have said a lonely desert island :funny:
I'd probably take something short and sweet like Scorpion's Revenge, or something long and memorable like Superman the Movie.
The show of choice would probably be the anime Gintama.

Back To The Future is probably my second favorite trilogy of all time behind TDKT.
Great favorites.

Watch the assembly cut. The movie is underrated and doesn't deserve the vitriol it received. It's a horror movie about survival and a monster hunting a group in tunnels.
Nothing that I would say betrays what came before, aside from a few questionable moments.

Idk just kinda lookin for an old school romp like Con Air, The Rock, Outbreak, Twister, Armageddon etc.

I just thought about Anaconda. I havent seem that in forever. Might be a so bad its good watch lol
I suggest the Fugitive.

I believe it is Alex Ross’ Joker

finally finished watching season 2 of netflix's the kingdom.

the show is all the more relevant now with what's going on in the world.

also, the direction they're taking it in season 3 is going to be very different. wow.

Is this a zombie show? It looks like it from the images. How is it?

yea, its a zombie show that takes place in medieval korea.

it's very good, imo.

the old historical setting brings a fresh spin to the genre.

cuz u have court intrigue + swordfights + zombies.
also a social critique of the haves vs the have-nots, that good zombie fiction usually brings.

Wait. You're telling me you DON'T watch Speed on a monthly basis? I am shocked and disappointed.

Speed IS the 90's to me, lol. Well, that and Clueless. Gotta keep my 90's nostalgia well-rounded. ;)

That said, I think you should give Alien 3 (the Assembly Cut) a try. It's underrated, and the only sequel to come close to capturing the claustrophobic atmosphere of the original, imo.

The Fugitive show was the reason Tim Daly didn't come back to voice Superman in JL/JLU. I think it wasn't too bad.

Between that and the Most Dangerous Game remake with Lesser Hemsworth and Christoph Waltz, these Quibi "dramas" look like direct-to-video thrillers that got chopped up into 10-minute pieces.

How dare you besmirch DTV... I've got six Steven Seagal ''action thrillers'' waiting for me on Prime. He's holding a gun on every poster because he can't move around like he used to. That black shoe polish toupee might fall off.
