Lounge of Justice - Part 90

I think in the future, knowing what they know now, they could make it a weekend thing with Part 2 on Sunday with whatever live stuff still left to be shown plus interactive stuff, but with the more mainstream or hyped stuff on Saturday (or reverse it to leave the big guns for the second day).
Sounds good yeah. This is big enough for a full weekend event (which gives time to actually get some food and stuff in between lol).

So we got 2 versions of the Justice League?

No mention of Ben, Henry or even Keaton either

Not sure if you watched that panel, but he was talking about the DCEU Earth as being a separate Earth from the Battinson Earth. I just think he was referencing a few of the DECU JLers to delineate from Battinson's world.

What's less clear is whether they will be going with 2 different visions with Snyder doing his thing on HBO Max (either as its own movie just to complete the set) or more movies if it gets the attention they want, and a different one for the theater DCEU movies, which, admittedly, does seem weird to me.

He did mention the Batman being the "start" of a new universe, which still gives me hope for a Supes reboot to go with Battinson down the line.

It's looking increasingly likely they're only talking about movies already confirmed to be in production. Even Duvernay seemed to confirm on Twitter New Gods isn't there. If we get Superman news, it'll probably be at the Black Adam or Shazam panels.

If the new Batman movie is going to be super dark then I doubt they're going to connect their Superman reboot to it.

I literally have no expectations to anything Superman related. Even with all the out-of-left field revelations this year, I still don't believe we'll get a miracle here.

I don't see why they couldn't do tangential connections. Dark Batman movies don't necessarily mean dark Superman movies, even if they drop connections. Every franchise could still be its own thing.

They said it's going to be grounded too so it'll probably be another "realistic" take ala Nolan

I'm guessing series like GCPD is how Reeves will expand his universe

But why bother connecting them at all then?

Assuming that's the plan, they probably want to wait and see how Max subscribers take to the Snyder Cut first. If it does really well with viewers, I'd expect them to be much more forthcoming in the near future.

True, but then he talked about the possibility of expanding out the Battinson universe with HBO Max shows. I got the impression he meant stuff set in that Gotham or with some of those characters. Of course he could be opening it to more possibilities which was the whole point of that multiverse panel, the endless possibilities that are still available to them.

I can't speak for everybody, of course, but to me Marvel style or early DCEU style crossovers are fun. Small references, on the other hand, are completely meaningless.
They can cross over into different types of films than their own franchises, though. Like to me, Aquaman had a TOTALLY different feel from the Snyderverse where he was introduced, and that worked fine. WW84 especially feels different too, based on what we've seen.

So what time does Fandome conclude today? And is the next one scheduled on September?

It helps having no expectations at all. Either way, you're not disappointed.

That's my thought, too. They probably have at least a couple of paths they have planned out at least somewhat. If the Snyder Cut does well with attention and views and media engagement (trying not to use BO #s as a measure here), then they may decide to keep all of that in the same universe and just pretend that the JL TC did not happen or that at the very least this is the director's cut of the TC.

If it doesn't get them what they are looking for, they can choose to move from it, let that conclude Zack's plan, but still continue as much as they want with the theatrical DC movies.

Just saw Snyder's last tweet. Yikes, thought he had more class. And he should probably blame WB for poor security of that content.

And keep in mind, the Black Adam panel is AFTER the Snyder Cut panel. Given that appearing in Black Adam is one of the rumored ways Cavill will continue on, this would be a nice 1-2 punch.

But as of now, I'm not expecting anything. If something happens, great.
