It’s just crazy to me. As a black person in the US, to lose Kobe and then get hit with a pandemic that affects black people at a disproportionately higher rate and then have massive uprisings spark up all over the world as our centuries of trauma took center stage and then to lose a civil rights icon John Lewis and then to be faced with an impossible election season and then to lose Boseman....it’s like the hits keep coming.

I can’t imagine what it was like for Boseman all those years. And I can’t imagine what his loved ones are going through.

I’m just all over the place. Bill and Ted escapism sounds like a solid move @Black Narcissus. I listened to Nirvana all last night to just take my mind off things.

I was going to watch Black Panther, but can't emotionally do it right now. I keep sounding like a broken record with the next two flicks, but the best flicks so far are on netflix and they are foreign. The Hunt and The Hater. But they are a bit dark in tone, got the new bill n ted flick ready to go, but mostly for Samara Weaving.

The Batman (2021)

Expected release date October 1, 2021 – which is not that far away. Robert Pattinson takes a turn as the caped crusader, a character who first appeared in 1939. That is 81 years ago! The teaser for ‘The Batman’ was revealed during DC FanDome almost a week ago. There was a 4K version uploaded to Vimeo by director Matt Reeves. A couple days ago I was able to get a 1080p ProRes master along with the dialogue, music and effects tracks. Over in the User Uploaded Trailers section Donnie uploaded a 1080p version with a 5.1 mix, likely from the DME tracks as well. Here I am featuring the 4K Vimeo encode with a 5.1 mix I did from the dialogue, music and effects tracks as well as my official thedigitaltheater encode of the 1080p master. I suspect that the 1080p will look much better than the 4K due to the higher bitrate, but the internet has been swooning about the glorious 4K on social media. Take your pick. I am also including the original stereo in AC3 if that is your preferred choice. Lots of options, I hope everyone is happy. BTW, who would want to live in Gotham? It seems like a nightmare…

On a lighter note, anyone know where Flash is scheduled to film? I'm wondering what's gonna happen with projects shooting in the U.S. (I know Shang-Chi is already filming again in Australia and The Batman is gonna resume filming in England soon).

Kobe was a daunting one. I cried for weeks. I couldn't imagine that horror. I have a 2 year old precious little girl of my own and when it was known that his daughter was onboard with him along with other families..man. I was wrecked for weeks at a time.

The passing of Boseman made me ill. I'm in a sad: bad mood today.

I haven't been in a bad mood but my anxiety has been through the roof since yesterday. Something about this has just shook me to the core.

Still can't really grasp it, the injustice of it. It took my dad quickly 4 years ago and that was tough to grasp, still is, but to see it happening to a young man like Boseman....words fail tbh.

I have no interest in seeing a new Matrix flick. I've grown a bit more cynical, but I now agree with Joey Pantoliano's pov. Put me back in the machine. Free will to do what? Go to another cave and different metallic holes on my back? To eat more Quaker oats type meals, nah, I'm good.

I feel like that new Flash suit is basically gonna the better version of the 2011 GL suit.

The idea of the light concentrating around his lower legs to give him the classic boot look is pretty dope.

Yea that light coming out of the suit, in general, is really cool. During the panel what really caught my interest was the director saying that Keaton's Batman creates the suit for him. Its cool and weird to watch Batman '89 and think that over 30 years later he's going to be responsible for this modern Flash suit to a degree.

They keep showing younger looking Keaton Batman. I wonder why. Maybe there will be flashbacks and whatnot and we know how good they've gotten on de-aging tech.

The first Fast n Furious flick now plays like an arthouse movie in comparison to the rest. Also, Michelle Rodriguez and her kinda manly way about her can still get it. She seems like the type who would burp in your face and put you in a headlock in front of your friends, and you just laugh it off nervously as a ''thing'' that she does. I don't know.
