Lounge of Justice - Part 90

Been on a Stallone film marathon for a few days now:

Cobra- rewatch
Demolition Man
Tango n Cash
Rambo (08)

I also looked into buying a 1911 just to put some cobra grips on it. lol

REEEEEEBOOOOOOT

The question is...what stays and what goes?

I don't know why I did this to myself but I spent the last 30 minutes watching YT reaction videos for TFA and TLJ trailers. Those were the good old days, everybody still filled with optimism and hope. Really bums me out that after TFA they completely messed it up. If there ever was a thing that needed to go right it was the ST and they blew it.

More Earth One books confirmed, including the long-awaited Batman Vol. 3.

No, not that kind of optimism and hope lol. But I would compare TROS to theatrical JL in that both give you whiplash. If they had to go with the story that Terrio and JJ came up with for TROS then they needed to break TROS up into two movies (even Terrio said that two movies would have been better). TROS just doesn't work as the immediate follow-up to TLJ, Although the original sin is TLJ (in my humble opinion), they should have salvaged what they could and gone with Trevorrow's IX. At least it would have felt like there was some connecting tissue between the movies. Instead TROS throws everything out the window and introduces a new threat in the very last movie. Pure insanity.

Sly has more range. Arnold was unbeatable at hardcore action, but Stallone was able to make the transition to dramas like Copland when needed. Even First Blood and the original Rocky are closer to the latter.

Damn poor Chris Evans. I couldnt imagine how embarrassing that must be...or is it? :funny:

Sly v Arnold

Who has the better movies?

Arnold was the more believable tough guy, but Sly always came off as more relatable so even in a ridiculous flick like Cobra he doesn't come off as annoying and you just take it for what it is. Besides the thought of Arnold cutting pizza with scissors just wouldn't have the same effect. :hehe: That being said, to not take too much away from Arnold, I can't picture Stallone playing The Terminator in the first two flicks as well as Arnold. Especially considering he went from the bad guy to the hero, that was no easy task and I don't think Sly could pull off that particular role as well as Arnold did. Stallone is the better actor but certain roles just click with specific actors and you can see why that became Arnold's most well known character to the point where they kept trying to milk it for another 30 years.

I think Arnold has the better entertaining flicks of the two, action wise.

Predator
Conan
Terminator/2
Running Man
Commando
Total Recall
True Lies

Arnold has the better action flicks for sure. Sly has First Blood, Demolition Man and I have a soft spit for Cliffhanger lol
