Lounge of Justice - Part 90

After everything that's happened the last four years and 2020 in particular, socialist policies aren't anywhere near the list of things I'm worried about.

Especially since this crisis has underscored how ****cked our current healthcare and insurance systems are.

Oof...hopefully we don't go from an extreme right president to an extreme left one. Hopefully, we can find and select people in the primaries that are moderate/center minded. AOC, who I'm sure has said how much she loved Ruth Bader Ginsburg, has recently said that Democrats should pack the supreme court, an idea RBG was ardently against.

As an European who loves socialism AOC is extreme only by America's standards. Looking from the outside in, her and Sanders would be my top pics to run the US.

one positive thing i can say about the orange cheeto presidency is that it shined a light on the pressing need for major reform in our country.

healthcare, politics, policing, social justice.

the whole gamut.

i hope this is going to be a turning point towards something better for our descendants.

AOC is too tame. She ain't hard-core Socialist. She's nearer centre-left.

I used to live with hard-core Socialists, amongst them my parents who spent their time in 1960s East Germany & other Soviet-bloc countries.

USA is nowhere near in term of leftist ideology and is always right-winged, with little centre-left bits.

Dang, if we bumped into each other at a coffee shop I'd definitely love to hear about your experiences. I mostly don't agree with AOC because while her motivation is well intended, her Green New Deal is just lazy and doesn't approach our issues thoughtfully enough. It just costs a lot of money.

She approaches the problem using a brute force approach instead of working with others to come up with smarter (and more affordable) ways to change our country.

Eh, I do see plenty of folks get hot and bothered at the idea of universal healthcare and better wages, they hide behind socialism bs as a reason to be against that. I feel like taxing goddamn Amazon would be a fine way to get that money for the american ppl, but their isssh still wont make on my door step in two days. Just common decency for our fellow man and women. Livable wages for fast food worker folks would be a start, always feel guilty about not tipping them when I order. I then try to hide my shame by online shopping just like every other merican. Lol

IMO, AOC is typical of young politican who is not learned in term of political ideology and she'll find it a little difficult to come to consensus with Congress full of millonaire politicans. She's however, highly intelligent, lovely, effective orator and natural leader in waiting.

I'm just relaxing with the view to enjoy another half century of my life with the hastle of wearing mask. lol

Affleck must be pissed. He is doing the behind the scenes making of Chinatown. You also got Fincher with Mank. I kinda wanted to see apocalypse now bts meta thing, Coppola losing his mind and killing cows.

Hilarious.

It really was stupid when Ares died and everyone started hugging. Kind of ruined the movie.

Yea it was a good start for a franchise but as I rewatch it, I have issues too. They did great with Diana's character. My favorite is her lecturing the military or the secretary bit. It really just gets so boring the moment she takes on Ludendorff, then Ares. Dr. Maru was cool though, I would've gone crazy making her even more terrifying.

Right, it undoes the idea that mankind is really responsible, which is why WW was so disillusioned. With Ares dying and then everyone hugging it out, it makes it like he really was responsible after all.
