It'a also gonna be a while before their big DC TV projects are ready to air, especially Green Lantern and Justice League Dark, which haven't even announced any cast yet. There was also that Friends reunion special that was supposed to be a huge draw for 2020 but has been delayed and allegedly won't even roll cameras until March 2021 at the earliest. AT&T was really unhappy with HBO Max's launch and early numbers, so they're probably thinking this will be a huge project that will get a lot of new people to try the service.

yea, it's an insane movie. not much of a plot.
its more visceral and about evoking a feeling.

there is a part 2, but its actually more of a higher budget remake of this one and more coherent. lol

there's also a third movie, but i haven't seen that one yet.
