Decided to play Dead Space 1 again with my Sony Gold Wireless headset on. Holy hell it's a lot more scary when you can hear all the little sound effects. There is this one section that I have played a handful of times. It's just you walking down a short tunnel. Through my tv speakers all I could hear was some environmental sounds like ventilation and the main character's footsteps and the like, but through these virtual 7.1 headset I can hear a little girls voice buried deep in the audio mix. I can't make out what she is saying, but it's creepy as ****!

I just finished part 2, and man the first two games are some really scary ****. The end of part 2 though had me going from fear to frustration. The gauntlet in the last 2 chapters is too much **** at once, and it had me rage quitting a few times. I'm looking forward to getting and playing part 3.

Yeah, I'm more than halfway through the first game and have been enjoying it quite a bit. The sound design is awesome and as a 3D guy, the creature and environment design has been inspiring me to push my work in new directions. The game is fairly challenging and I'm glad I bought it.

**** that part of the game hard. I love everything else about the game except that part. It's probably the reason why I'm in no rush to finish my second playthrough.

You'd have to ask around. A physical is pretty basic and standard, and they'll likely be able to give you a price if you ask.

I am lucky in the sense that where i live this sort of thing doesn't need to be asked. Hope you're ok man. Frikin hell to worry about money when something like your life could be at risk is a disgrace.
