Dark, I hope you have health insurance and you're asking for a friend. But yeah, getting individual insurance on any exchange can be pretty pricy. But at least qualified plans should cover preventive care with no co-pay.

I had a panic attack a few days ago, my first. Started hyper ventilating and was hungry for air. Thought I was gonna die. Hang in there, man.

Are you hurting in your left arm or up the left side of your neck or face? If not then it's prolly not an impending heart attack. Was your chest hurting before or after the panic attack? Panic attacks can cause chest pains and a number of other painful psychosomatic symptoms.

My left arm does ache a little bit but that's from a pinched nerve. The bulk of the pain is in my chest.

Could be a number of things all of which aren't deadly. Try not to worry too much. Anxiety will exacerbate things and make it harder to know which symptoms are psychosomatic and which aren't. But some advice. Even if a physical costs a $100 it's better to pay it and get the physical and know how healthy you are and what's going on in your body than not get checked out and down the road have to pay thousands because they didn't catch something early enough. It's wise to get a yearly physical. If you start putting back $20 per paycheck or just something every week you'll have the price of a physical covered.

Well it's very unlikely that whatever is wrong with you is terminal in the near future. Worrying and freaking out won't help you. In fact your stress is making it harder on your body. Just wait and see what the doctor says before you start losing your cool.
