Avengers Age of Ultron SDCC Footage Description

It's the Avengers, hanging out together.
They're out of costumes and all trying to lift Thor's hammer
Tony can't do it
He tries again with an Iron Man hand
He still can't
Even with War Machine's help, he can't
Cap moves it a little!
A big noise distracts them
It's an old suit, moving like a zombie, entering the room
It's Ultron!
"There's only one path to peace," he says, "Your extinction!"
A montage of scenes.
Black Widow in her new suit with blue lining
Banner in a straightjacket?
Tanks fighting in the snow
"It's the end," says Stark. "The end of the path I started us on."
"Nothing lasts forever," says Widow
Hulkbuster armor! Going to-to-toe with the Hulk!
"Look," says Ultron, seemingly in his finished form, "No string on me"
Tony in what looks like a wasteland.
All the Avengers are lying, bruised and beaten before him

We just saw the first teaser! "You want to protect the world... but you don't want it to change. There is only one path to peace - your destruction." Wowwwwwww footage for Avengers 2 looks incredible. Hulk vs Iron Man, Hulkbuster, lots of dead bodies, broken shield. Holy ****! Boom.

Turns out those early reports a month or two back about the party scene was true.

Yes, that is what they do.
They are telling him how much Avengers 2 will be boring, and Batman v Superman will be the best comic book movie this decade :oldrazz:

Just to see the look on his face...:o troooooooolling, troll a lala troll.

The Hobbit: The Batlle of the Five Armies SDCC Teaser Trailer Description

THE TEASER TRAILER:

This was all about tone and set up. It reveals the conflicts and the sides of the conflict.

THE EMOTIONAL HIGHLIGHT

Bard: “Will you have peace or will you have war?” He is pleading with Thorin at this point, clearly trying to broker peace. Earlier shots show Legolas and Thranduil taking in the ruin and death wrought by the dragon. (Perhaps in flashback?)

THORIN: Fully in King’s gear says with great emotion: “I will have WAR”

The trailer also features “home is behind” as sung by none other than Billy Boyd and to great effect.

Colbert was introduced and then he introduced a segment of bloopers that transitioned into meaningful moments. This is WB CLEARLY putting the stamp of 6-movies as one all together. Then out comes the cast and director and writer.

TEASER TRAILER BIG PICTURE

Big bass, sliding logos in a new way and then Smaug sweeps through Lake Town at great speed, flying above it like a jetliner buzzing a tower but shooting hot, bright flame down the street as he goes. A real inferno.

Bilbo is sitting in sadness remember and saying others will remember. The Good. The Bad. Who survived. Who did not. Bilbo is our storyteller and the movie MIGHT be told in flashback.

We see an ice chariot. I suppose that was Gandalf but I was completely distracted by the vehicle and trying to figure out who is in pursuit. Galadriel kisses Gandalf (I am told, missed it)

Bard steps out in the midst of an Elven army who immediately part for him. He is clearly in charge of an Elf army, perhaps ordered by Thranduil. Bard is a major player in the film.

Scenes of lots of faces that we need to be reminded are in great peril, not many of them dwarves. and then we get to Bard trying to win over Thorin.

Thorin says, “I WILL HAVE WAR!” He is the King.

Then he says, perhaps to the dwarves but perhaps to Bilbo and perhaps audio from a battle and placed instead in the film:

“Will you follow me one last time?”

Then, finally, The Hobbit The Battle of Five Armies trailer played. It was a teaser. Bilbo says “I’ll remember everything that happened. Those who survived, those who didn’t.” There’s footage of Smaug blowing fire on Laketown, a decimated city, soldeirs and huge armies walking. Then, finally, Billy Boyd’s song from Return of the King hits, setting a somber, down tone. It promises the defining chapter of the Middle Earth trilogy as we see footage of a chase scene on ice. Flashes of Sauron. Then Bard asks Thorin, “Will you have peace or war?” He responds “I will have war!” A few more epic shots before everything gets quiet. Thorin “Will you follow me one last time?” Title card.

I can't understand why there would be a chase on ice. None of the characters are anywhere near a location that would have ice...unless part of the film takes place in the Northern Dwarvish Kingdoms.

Hunger Games Mockingjay Trailer description.

The trailer opens with a hovership landing and a meeting between leaders of the rebellion, where Phillip Seymour Hoffman and a gray-haired Julianne Moore discuss Katniss Everdeen's role. Meanwhile, President Snow (Donald Sutherland) declares the Mockingjay symbol illegal.

Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) is shown entering the underground bunker where refugees of Panem are hiding, and she agrees to take up their cause.

I've read that it will debut online Monday.:)

Is the Skull Island movie a prequel to the Peter Jackson film or a new universe?

It's entirely separate from the other King Kong films. Peter Jackson's King Kong was a Universal film. Skull Island is a Legendary film.

Dangit!! I don't know whether to pre-order the Noah steelbook (exclusive from BestBuy) or just wait till Tuesday when it comes out. The trouble is that steelbooks usually run out rather quickly & I'll be at work, but can go at around 12ish or 1:00pm....don't know if I want to risk it though. :csad::cmad:

Buy it from best buy.com and choose store pickup if you don't want to wait for it to arrive in the mail. You guarantee you get a copy and you can pick it on your lunch break or after work.

Thanks for the advice Marv, but according to the BestBuy website, I placed it in the cart & at checkout, it doesn't have the option for "pickup at store" , just ship to residence, etc.

Damn. I checked the site and it seems they don't offer the store pickup option on pre-ordered items. Talk about some BS.

In that case, you might could call Best Buy and if you get a nice employee you might could get an estimate of how many steel books they got in stock. If it's a large number they might not sell out before you go on your lunch break Tuesday. I really don't think this is a movie that everyone and their brother will be rushing out to get, and because it's Tuesday the working folk who plan to get the movie prolly won't be getting it until their lunch break or after work so if you can get to Best Buy on your lunch break I think there is a good chance you will get that steelbook.

There's still a chance it could sell out tho. I don't know your area or how things usually sell so I'm just guessing. If you can wait for it to arrive in the mail that's the safest route. Just weigh what you know about blu-ray sells in your area and base your decision on that.

Yeah, I guess I'll probably do that.

I'm on a mini Pink Panther cartoon marathon right now. I wonder if a live action Pink Panther film would be any good, if done right that is?

Do you know if you can go to best buy and pre-order it in store? If you pre-order it in store I would guess that you could pick it up at the store you pre-order it at. Might be something worth asking customer service about over the phone.

I'll be going to BestBuy tomorrow & will definitely ask about that.
