I'm headed to the airport right now. Y'all will barely have to do deal with me for 5 weeks. It's sad, isn't it? :o

I'm out.

Have a safe trip.:)

You know, I have just had a very enlightening epiphany concerning this guy and his friends and why they just really hate me and prefer this other girl he's with. It's because she loves to party and has no hesitation of spending mas quantities of money for their amusements whereas I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum and feel quite scared about spending money for fear of going into debt and be in worse shape than I am now. They don't like that I tell them to go use their own money and don't even think that I'm going to amuse them salaciously like she would.

I feel like I got ran over by a truck. Last thing I remember was being at the party and wanting to leave and then some girl came up to me and started flirting. Then I woke up at the house. Debating on drinking the 5 beers I have in the fridge to make me feel better

Whoa boy...sounds to me like someone slipped you a real doozy of a mickey. I don't think you want to know what might have happened to you during that rather scary blackout. I think the last thing you want to be doing is drinking alcohol.

Blackouts are terrifying. My roommate (and friend) in college woke up from a heavy party one morning and started freaking out.

There was blood on a quarter of his shirt...and it was not his.

Did it smell like blood? Did it have the smell or color of what is possibly something else?

Eh blackouts happen when I mix tons of different booze. That's why I'm always with people I trust. I just don't like when that happens and I'm not at home since I have woke up in a jail cell on numerous occasions which is never fun. But it was my buds house party so it was cool. All in all it was a good night

I've seen a cat fight.

During my first year at graduate school, I witnessed a brutal one. I was in the elevator with two women: one was on her cellphone, talking to someone, while the other was sipping a frozen beverage from Starbucks. During the ride, neither spoke to each other, let alone made any contact; they were poised in different directions. As soon as we arrived at the floor for Woman # 1, Woman # 2 must have made a face - she did not say a peep, as she was listening to her phone-when Woman # 1 dropped the beverage and started pounding her. Not just hitting, not just punching, but heavy-punching. I exited and called the front desk/control room; the response I received was, "I didn't see anything."

There was a camera in the elevator; I told them which floor it happened on and a rough time stamp. They said they would look into it and that was the end of the fight I witnessed.

It was blood. I smelled the bloody white tee shirt myself.

I cannot believe today happened.

What's cool about my job is that even though I have to ask suggestive sales questions, there's nothing stopping me from being a bit of a showman about it. For example, somebody asks for a pack of cigarettes. I grab it from the display and out of habit I flip the box as I bring it over to the counter. So when I ask them if they want a lighter or a car wash (the suggestive sale being another related store-bought item, and the car wash being the company's "trademark service" :whatever:), oftentimes they'll at least get a lighter.

I just find it fascinating. Today was a whirlwind. I talked with our 3rd shift guy, who's Pakistani and Muslim, and we got to talking about jinn. :funny:

The most important thing, though is that I didn't get frustrated in situations where I normally would.

Weather is too hot here. I need a vacation!

Man that's brutal an all but I was talking about an actual cat fight. A cat attacked a puppy. :funny:

He's the only one who cares the rest of us couldn't give a damn.

This infernal rain. If I do not walk each day, I end up with a store of energy, and end up becoming irritable. Hence how I feel right now.

I might do that.

Normally, I'd be using the exercise bike - in lieu of what happened last time on the other route I used to take-but, cannot presently locate the infernal power cord.

Anyway's how're everyone's evenings going?

Well that blows. Of all the days to misplace the cord.:funny: On the bright side the rain will keep you cooler during the walk.

My evening is pretty uneventful. It's raining on my end too and not much on tv and nothing new at the theaters and no new games. I've been reading Stephen Kings Doctor Sleep and that's pretty good so far.

Sometimes I wish I joined The Hype a lot sooner than I did.

@Marvolo:

Dr. Sleep's an excellent read. Reads like one of his novels from the 70s.

Presently, I'm attending to a large bottle of Heineken while watching MST3K: THE FINAL SACRIFICE.
