With the success of Les Miserables, I think Amanda Seyfried is a good pick for Sharon Carter. Plus, she's a natural blonde.

I'm surprised no one suggested her yet.

We did, a few months ago. I thought she would make a better enchantress.

Way too young looking for both roles.

I'm feeling the same way. I had my doubts about her initially, but the more I think about, the more I like the idea of her playing Sharon Carter. I'd still prefer Winstead(who's sadly probably no longer in the running), but Palmer is now my second choice for the role. She's really come a long way as an actress and we know she can handle action scenes in a believable way. I have a friend who has seen a test screening of Warm Bodies, and he said she was great in it. He had a lot of praise for both her and for the film... said that it basically gets right everything that Twilight got wrong(along with a good deal of making fun of films like Twilight).

Also, she looks incredibly sexy when holding a firearm. Not everyone can pull that off.

Winstead was never in the running according to Winstead herself.
I'd be happy with Palmer. At first I thought I was going to hate her as an actress because I was introduced to her name when she was supposed to play Talia Al Ghul in that horrible shelved JL movie.
I'm excited for WarmBodies as well although I'm sad to get beat by the punch about a way zombies can turn back to human.

I hope Findley gets the role.

don't take offense but Seyfried is a terrible actress.. she's had string of terrible films including Chloe, In Time, Gone, Letters To Juliet, Dear John and Red Riding Hood.. granted she was okay in Jennifer's Body but besides that she needs to stay away from comic book films.. personally, if we're aiming for actresses based on looks and being a natural blonde I'd rather see Amber Heard (Pineapple Express, Machete Kills, Zombieland)..

I get the love for her, but I dont agree with it. She is attractive and is on a cult tv show. That's basically it. I personally dont really get her for any superhero role other than maybe Wasp. But she wouldnt even be in my top 3 for that role.

Ive seen people say she's perfect for Sharon. And i think that's bogus. I remember when she was first announced on the shortlist and all people really came up with was gifs of her looking hot. Which are nice, but yeah I dont think she's that good

Basically, AB is adorable and baby-faced. She uses that to her advantage in her best known role, and she's great at that. But Sharon Carter isn't supposed to be either of those things.

So no, she isn't "perfect" for Sharon.

Right now I'm really rooting for Teresa Palmer. When her name first popped up, she was my least favorite choice, now she's my top choice... The idea of her playing Sharon has really grown on me. Out of all the actresses rumored for the role, she also looks the most like the comic book version of Sharon.

Like, if Marvel comes out with the announcement that Allison Brie is playing Bernie Rosenthal, or that Jessica Brown Findlay is playing Sharon Carter, it will have been a letdown after so long.

At this point, they'd need to cast Angelina Jolie as Ms Marvel to make sense of the buildup.

After all the endless rumors and all the waiting, watch it end up being Amanda Righetti after all. I know her baby is due this month, so it's possible she could get back into shape before they start filming in April.

I'd totally ignore the film she was in like all of her other projects.. what an overhyped untalented woman..yes, she has an Oscar but played her crazy-self in that film..making out with her brother at the Oscars and collecting children like charm-bracelets, there is something seriously wrong with her brain..

"I Am Number Four" wasn't a great movie by any means, but Teresa Palmer did a good job with what she was given. This behind the scenes clip just makes me want her in The Winter Soldier even more. As I've said before, I wasn't too keen on the idea of her playing Sharon when her name was first mentioned, but now she's one of my top picks.

Righetti is hot, but shes a one-note actress who's biggest claim to fame is the role of naive hottie on a procedural and walk-on role in Cap. Why she's on anyone's list for well, anything is beyond me. I find her appealing, but she has no track record that justifies casting her in the MCU.

Oh, and if her recent appearances on the Mentalist are any indication, she is a loooong way away from being in any condition to play a soldier or a superhero. Id be thrilled to be proven wrong - about her talent and her physical condition - cuz she is incredibly attractive.

Yeah, that doesnt cut it. Heres the direction she got: "Act like you're scared **** less". Im not saying shes a bad actor, Im just saying that shes never played anything but a passive character. And thats despite playing a cop for the last 5 years.

To be fair though, she might actually have plenty of range as an actor. I just havent seen it yet. If Marvel auditions her and they like what they see, then I wont pooh pooh the casting. But the timetable for Cap2 makes her casting pretty much impossible given her current condition (not criticizing her. shes having a baby after all).

I think we all just speculated since Amanda Righetti had that bit part on Cap that could've been perhaps the new Sharon Carter. There was a rumor she was cast in Avengers that didn't turn out to be true.

I can't believe how long the silence has been for this casting after all those candidates came about. Maybe LatinoReview was right and they just really want Winstead and are performing a sit-in at her house as we speak. Or they gave up.
