Lucius is out as Q, I agree. He can't trust Bruce anymore, so that's it. Bruce will cross lines that Lucius can't. Game over. There's no 'explaining' that.

That said, there should be a fair amount of useful equipment in there that hasn't been used yet. Wayne Enterprises could employ a 'Harold' of sorts to tinker the stuff into a more bat-useful form.

Maybe once a movie, Lucius could 'throw him a bone' and work out the Batboat or what have you.

Yes, I agree. Since Bruce went behind Lucius' back in TDK with the massive sonar cell phone tech, and now Batman is considered a fugitive and murderer, I doubt Fox will continue to help him.

True. Lucius isn't in on the plot... there should be barely enough trust there for Fox to keep Wayne's secret. I wouldn't put it past Fox to shut down Wayne R&D and then the Batcave will have to be Bruce's "small startup corporation" of sorts.

And in any case, it's the simplest thing in the world for Bruce to say "I took the fall for Dent". The fact that Batman used the unethical sonar cell phone stuff is moot. Well, it depends how much Fox trusts Bruce. In TDK, Bruce went behind Lucius's back by expanding the sonar cell phone tech. And now Batman is wanted for murder. Prior to the end of TDK, Batman was only wanted for being an illegal vigilante.

Lucius knows what Bruce is doing... trying to protect the city and do what needs to be done. That machine you're so worried about ruining their friendship... destroyed after it served its purpose. That murder charge, Bruce just says what actually happened and Lucius may be upset for a little then understand and continue to help him.

Yes, you are right. It really depends on the theme of the next movie. Hopefully, the next movie will either portray Fox as Bruce's enemy or ally.

Since Batman is now a fugitive and murderer in the eyes of Gotham and the rest of the world, how will Bruce Wayne/Batman get his gadgets and equipment? I highly doubt Lucius Fox will continue to supply him...

there is no doubt that Lucius will continue to be Bruce's Gadget Guru because:

1.) Batman is the fugitive, not Bruce Wayne. other than Alfred, nobody else knows that Lucius is the guy that supplies the large gadgets Batman uses (other than that sniveling snitch of course).

2.) Lucius knows better than to believe reports that Batman killed anybody. he will be like Gordon (albeit with less info) who knows that Batman took the fall for someone else.

i'm not mocking you or anything, but i was just wondering whatever made you think that Lucius will stop helping Bruce? you do know that Lucius works for Bruce right? if he wants to stop helping him, he would most likely have to quit his post.

Fox won't let Bruce explain. remember he didn't want Bruce telling him straight that he's Batman? remember the whole "if you don't tell me, i wouldn't have to lie when asked about it" part? i'm not saying Fox will stop helping Bruce, just he'd continue with out having Bruce explain it. He trusts him enough to know he's innocent. and i agree, if Fox doesn't want to help, he'll just quit, like he said in TDK. but the machine was destroyed so he stays. also, i saw his grin as well.
