MacGruber: The Movie?

I keep hearing rumors that Mike Myers is a huge *****e to people on set, and I heard that he and Dana Carvey had issues, then I see that Wayne's World skit and I was like "what the hell"?

They prolly do. But I'm sure they held it together for those so many minutes they were on stage.

I'd rather see a Jon Bovi movie, frankly...

I saw it traileraddicts, and it was okay.

I find if funny Kilmer is playing a Russian baddy and didn't put on an accent. The ending bit with the multiple wires was funny.

it was alright.

BTW, did they film this with the Red Camera? It has that..Red Camera (or HD ) look. unless it's just the cinematography.

I'm watching this movie. If for no other reason than for Val Kilmer's villian having one of the funniest names in a comedy. I won't spoil it. Just see the red-band trailer to find out.

-so sayeth the mastermind-

I was surprised that the movie had a high quality look to it.

It was kind of funny, the trailer alone was funnier than any SNL based movie since Wayne's World. I wonder if there'll be any classic MacGruber bits like failing to defuse the bomb or asking for something completely disgusting to disarm it with.

Really? Who would have guessed that a movie based on an SNL skit that nobody cares about would flop? What a complete waste of time and money.

I enjoyed it. It's so weird and has great laughs.

I saw it yesterday, absolutely hilarious. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard while watching a movie. Plus it also had some great performances by Forte, Wiig, and Kilmer.

Turns out the only bomb MacGruber couldn't stop was the movie itself.

Note to SNL: No one wants to see your 10 minute sketches adapt into movies anymore. After so many failures you'd think you'd catch the drift.

I don't normally try to be negative about movies on here (If I don't have any interest in something, or think it looks like ****, I don't bother to post about it. I don't understand people that do) but I have something to say about this.

For the last couple weeks, I have seen internet genre sites (this one included) and TV absolutely saturated with promotion for this film. For a SNL spoof of a show that's been off the air for almost a generation, why does Hollywood push something like this with millions in advertising and payed off positive reviews (yeah, I said it), when something like Solomon Kane, that looks like a fun action adventure, can't even get a release stateside. it is just deserts IMO. I can honestly say I'm happy this bombed.

Money, its all about the money and how you know.

But since when does sticking a piece of Celery into your ass count as a joke? Is that was passed for one today? That and showing a really old woman topless.:csad: Plus Man-ass. Did I mention all the pointless man-ass? Not that I care, but they just kept showing it so much, like it was the joke and not coming up with one.

I thought Hot Rod was a way better movie then this.

I feel so sorry for Universal. Bomb after bomb over the last few years, and NBC sucking the life out of televison. Must be a sad place to work at right now.

How much is Universal paying you?
