Machete Kills Again... In Space! (2013)

But even if it's not from the same company, we're still getting a lot of these movies where they say, "Yes, we know this movie sucks, but it's on purpose!" Like, somehow it's okay to suck. :oldrazz:

Shoot 'Em Up
Crank
Crank 2: High Voltage

And soooooo many others.

I don't know about the above but Black Dynamite was made that way and it's totally awesome.

Neveldine/Taylor deserve to be thrown out of Hollywood for inflicting that piece of rancid s**t onto the world, as well as Gamer. Terrible writers and even worse directors.

Machete was a nice, pulpy throwback to 1970s grindhouse movies. And it was genuinely funny -- jazzy porn music, outrageous gore gags and all. Crank 2 is none of those things.

I happily welcome a Machete Kills if it's even half as fun as the first.

While I enjoyed the first, I feel they added too much story to what we got in the trailer, the movie stops becoming fun at some points and I felt this was the reason why. Keep things simple, as they are meant to be for the sequel.

I wonder what kind of balls out insane cast he will get this time. Hard to top Danny Trejo, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Robert DeNiro, Steven Seagal, Jeff Fahey, Don Johnson and Tom Savini appearing together in one film.

He can do it. I'm certain he was the driving factor in casting for Sin City.

Yeah, a few bizarre casting decisions wouldnt be surprising, dont be surprised if someone like Nic Cage is in this.

Title is win, haha.

The first one was good fun. But the funniest stuff was already in the faux-trailer and the tone got a bit boring at the end. Still I'm all up for a sequel, bound to be entertaining!

According to mclay's link here's the plot

The new film finds Machete recruited by the U.S. Government for a mission which would be impossible for any mortal man. Machete must battle his way through Mexico to take down a madman cartel leader and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer who has hatched a plan to spread war across the planet with a weapon in space. Machete takes on an army in an effort to dismantle a plan for global anarchy.

Hopefully this one doesn't meander around with the political stuff.

speaking of hobo with a shotgun i saw it on tv last night

that movie was awesome !!!

He doesn't get framed this time I assume. Hopefully he leads a team of DTV stars!

Yeah, other than that though it sounds pretty much the same, was hoping it would be a bit different, like Machete has to protect a Nunnery from some corrupt businessmen who want to knock it down and build a mall there :woot:.

Hahaha! That's so perfect!

^Ha ha I thought so, right up the 'grindhouse' alley it would be an awesome movie.

I hope Jessica Alba comes back. She had some good chemistry with Danny Trejo, and I would love to see her kick ass again. Plus, her making out with Trejo set to that 1970s porno music always makes me laugh.

What?

I loved the political themes, especially regarding Illegal Immigration. What politicians started in 2003 (and still ongoing) was just downright prejudice.

As for the plot, yeah I expected something different, but I'm guessing Robert is drawing inspiration from what's going on down in Mexico, as we speak, with the cartels.

I wouldnt mind Alba coming back, I dont find her anywere near as hot as I used to but she wasnt bad in the first flick.

Rodriguez and her amazing stomach need to come back as well.

Its just a very generic plot, one we have seen plenty of times before and pretty much did in the first movie as well. I was just hoping for something a little different this time.

I would love it if it were as crazy with the casting as the first.
