The old, illustrated movie posters are best, and much better than most of the modern Photoshopped ones such as the Avengers or Age of Ultron.

The Well poster looks cool, even though I've never heard of the movie before.

Batman v Superman had some pretty good one, if we're on the subject of superheroes.

Helps that the characters are iconic enough to get away with stuff like this:

Agreed. I don't know if the LOTR ones were photoshopped to look like they were illustrated, or if they were illustrated old school style. But I included them because they looked cool.
