Xenforo Cloud upgraded our forum to XenForo version 2.3.4. This update has created styling issues to our current templates.
Starting January 9th, site maintenance is ongoing until further notice, but please report any other issues you may experience so we can look into.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
Most of us do.I would love a version of this game that wasn't in first person.
The game requires hardware ray tracing so the beefy specs make sense. Game should be a looker though especially with path tracing enabled.
That's great to hear! Looking forward to Digital Foundry's video on this (and to building my new PC hopefully in 2025).Also @Gee, max settings on my RTX are so damn pretty. They really worked hard to replicate the look of Douglas Slocombe's cinematography, which really adds to the period atmosphere.
Yeah, the PC Gamer review harps on about how brilliant the exploration is. Which makes total sense. I always found the levels in the Wolfenstein a great joy to explore and the collectibles were always the right balance. I love how the level maps are actual physical objects and how when you call them up, you are holding them on the bottom half of the screen.![]()

Machine Games + killing Nazis = winning formula
@Joe Von Zombie Get in here. Reading reviews mention this has immersive sim level design à la Deus Ex/Dishonored makes me giddy.

Oh I love these immersive maps! One of my favourite things in Metro: Exodus. Also, huge points from me for how minimally intrusive the UI is, especially after feeling like I had to spend an hours turning everything off in Veilguard so I could actually see and appreciate the world. 30 minutes in, this game is quick on its way to being my game of the year.
No real puzzles yet, but the collectible documents are so much fun. Like love letters from Indy's female students wanting "private tuition".Oh I love these immersive maps! One of my favourite things in Metro: Exodus. It does make sense for these kinds of games in first-person perspective.

I know 30 minutes is not much, but have you done a puzzle yet? Can you explicitly ask for help with a button/key press? The Eurogamer review mentions it's not as annoying as the chatty companions in Uncharted and GoW so that's a relief for me.![]()
Allegedly it's coming out in the first half of 2025 so the wait shouldn't be too long. This site says April:It’s great to see such positive reviews for this game. Just sucks I gotta wait until next year to play it on the PS5 though
Before Googling for a guide in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, give the in-game hint system a try: It's genuinely the best one I've ever seen in a gameOh I love these immersive maps! Damn, someone finally gets how I want puzzles to be in games. Let me have my fun with them but if I'm too dumb to solve them within the period before they start becoming a drag, let me move on with the game I'm loving rather than having to break the experience - either getting stuck or looking up a solution elsewhere. Before Googling for a guide in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, give the in-game hint system a try: It's genuinely the best one I've ever seen in a game
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will have challenging puzzles, but also a creative hint system through Indy's camera: 'We don't want you to go to YouTube to look up the solution, because that's immersion-breaking and bad'
I am really loving how immersive the game is. It is really like you are Indy and not just watching Indy. And that carries over to the combat as well. So far combat really does take a backseat, which I really think it should. There was so much dissonance in the Tomb Raider where Lara is supposed to be a naive young, adventurer, survivor, and during the gameplay she turns into Rambo. This is mostly exploration, puzzles, investigation, and I am over the moon about that. The levels are unbelievable. Just brilliant design, with so much environmental storytelling.Damn, someone finally gets how I want puzzles to be in games. This is what happens when you have passionate fans of the source material making the game who have all the skills to bring their own vision to life. I'll admit I was originally thrown by it not being third person as I'd always imagined my ideal modern Indy game to be, but I also always had faith in Machine Games, even more so as I read how hardcore into Indy many of them were.I am really loving how immersive the game is. And screwing up during combat feels incredibly right. In games like Dishonoured, I often would reload my last save if detected during stealth or if screwed up a take down. Rather, it feels so Indy for something to go sideways, have to knock a guard captain out after he spots you and then have to deek through a dark tower at the Vatican until you lose your tail.
Now the combat and stealth due have some rough edges. The systems can be a bit wonky, but it doesn't matter because the overall experience is amazing and just so fun.
This is not the game for someone looking for incredibly deep combat and looking to master its systems in order to Platinum all the achievements. This is an incredibly well written and acted immersive, cinematic experience that has a certain amount of "movie logic" in how events play out.
Also, gotta love how they filled the cast with classic character actors for both their voices and likenesses. Really does make it feel like you are playing a classic Indiana Jones movie. Honestly, this is the best piece of Indiana Jones media since Last Crusade.
