Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Been there done that. I was in it in 1994 with the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Marching band. For some reason, since then, I can't get into watching it.

Indeeds! I'm so happy that it's back! I remember that I signed the petition back in 2006. :spidey::up:

And now John Stamos is singing..this thing gets more awesome every year

The Spider-Man balloon is back!! :spidey:

Looks like the first benefit of the Disney/Marvel takeover.

When I was there with the Olympic band, we were right behind the Superstars of the WWF float. I got to meet Undertaker and Pall bearer, Bret Hart, and Shawn Michaels. It was really cool.

I've never been to the parade either. I actually work 2 blocks from Macys and I didn't even see them setting up on Wednesday. I think I just avoid that entire section of town between November/December.

I did see Spidey when I watched the parade on TV yesterday, though.

My family and I went in 2000 I think. I hate it. I sleep through it now.

Did any of the balloons injure or kill anyone this year?

I was watching a bit of the parade and the part I tuned in for had a Pikachu balloon and the announcer said she believed Pikachu had the powers of a taxi cab. This was CBS, so I switched over to NBC and discovered it was less ******ed.

So Pikachu is overpriced, smells bad and doesn't speak English?

I watched one Macy parade in Spider-Man 1...That was enough for me.

That wasn't even the Thanksgiving parade. That was a "World Unity Festival". Hey, I guess it's easier than securing the rights to the characters in the Thanksgiving Day Parade.
