I couldn't find another thread on this, nor could I found the "Official Magneto Thread" so I'll be bold, start a new thread and brace myself to be flamed.

Anyways, everyone here keeps saying that at the end of the movie Magneto moves the chess piece. That's not how I remember it. I dunno if I wasn't paying attention or if we had different versions or what, but it looked to me like he was trying to move the piece but couldn't. It was a rather sad, pathetic scene about how the mighty have fallen.

Am I wrong? Did I totally miss it? Did anyone else see what I saw?

It definately moved. And the chess pieces were clearly made of metal.

it moved......

the greatest scene in my life!

Yes the chess piece moved, buy i have the teory that the piece was a mutant itself, no, magneto moved it, he is soooooo cool, not even the cure can beat him

I'm completely sure that I saw the piece move, but slightly

Ian McKellen said on BBC1's Jonathon Ross show (see main page SHH headline) that this scene was one of a couple to be used.

If this one was used...........expect a sequel.

There you go.

Whats the point of this thread? It moved...thats final.

anyone else think that the cure might only be a temporary fix?

Magneto saved this movie, every scene with him was like ...

the pawn moving almost made me cry...... i was SO happy magneto is still a god

The point is that I didn't see it that way. I'm trying to determine if I'm alone in that or not.

the thing defintly moved, end of story, hell during the scene the sold out theater i was in started friggin clapping and going all kinds of ape.

Yes, he moved the piece, but they cut from it almost instantly.

that was brillliant... i never saw it coming either.

i thought he was reaching for it to sort of tip it over like in x1 when he got frustrated and tipped over the piece, but then all of a sudden it MOVED!...

That's probably it, I just looked away for half a second and missed it. Oh well. Changes the ending for me.

I'll say it again

Never seen so many people get so excited over a CHESS PIECE moving...

The scene could have been so much better if a man sat down across from him and said "Hello Eric, my name is Nathaniel Essex, but some call me..."

But that would only be possible if there was a proposed sequel and thanks to Ratner's blunder, we most likely won't be seeing that. Especially not on the premise that a chess piece "moved"
