"Make America Great Again!": The TRUMP Thread!!! - Part 5

So now the current breaking news is that Trump portrayed his own publicist back in 1991, basically making up a fake persona.

I'm I the only one that's confused why this is a story?

I'm not really understanding what the implication is here...

Because it indicates he's more then a little unhinged, narcissistic, and a con man.

...do you call people pretending to be someone else? Because that's not normal behavior for an adult.

The man that could very well be the next leader of the free world actually felt the need to create a separate persona for himself and then tried to play it off as a "gag." Yes, you get side eye for that.

Lets be frank as ****, it's rustling them jimmies because it is true.

Melania IS slender and far more feminine looking. She would be a hot first lady.

The attractiveness of the first lady is irrelevent. But Michelle Obama is no hag. She looks plenty feminine and slender to me.

Michelle Obama looks perfectly feminine....I really don't get the people who say she looks mannish, not that the attractiveness of the First Lady has anything to do with anything anyway.

Melania is more slender and more feminine than Michelle. She is a ex-model for a reason. It's not even a fair comparison. It's a low hanging fruit to rustle people's jimmies.

It's a misogynistic, transphobic (Michelle drawn "mannish" and with a buldge), and possibly racist cartoon.

All that, plus it's deeply cruel, as regwec said. Like, holy Christ, she's a human being. What if she were to see that? It's just awful.

EDIT: The misogyny is painful -- as though the first lady's attractiveness affects her value as a person and as a political figure.

What's wrong with swolemaidens? I like (natty) girls who work out.

Why the hate towards swolemaidens?

Tastes vary, but I think generally most women would prefer to be considered feminine and slender rather than masculine and muscular.

Yeah. Not that it matters, but Michelle Obama is the hottest first lady we've ever had. That cartoon is a offensive and stupid.

I don't think its racist at all, I think it is just ridiculously stupid...

sure it is. a racist by it's very definition thinks their race is superior.

now lets put it into the context of the comparison of Michelle and Melania.

What qualities of Melania make her superior to Michelle?

Education? Career? C'mon she was born with her looks and used them to make money and snag a billionaire husband. His 3rd trophy wife. Quite an accomplishment.

Michelle came from nothing and graduated *** laude from Princeton.
She worked at a Chicago law firm and was for a while was City Administrator. Her charity work and community organizing speaks for itself.

But you know what makes America great? Bimbos who take their clothes off for the cameras. Who marry money and live a life of leisure.

Girls who workout will never look like that Michelle Obama cartoon. Only ones who abuse PEDs like Cris Cyborg, Samantha Stosur and Serena Williams.

I was thinking more like Miesha Tate.

I'd choose Melania, 10 out of 10 times still. :woot:

Wow, you got a hell of a lot out of that cartoon....lol
I didn't say the cartoon was correct. it obviously is not, it just isn't racist.....it is however pretty stupid.

What's funny is that he's actually describing misogyny perfectly, but calling it racism for some reason.

I agreed with DDS earlier that it was potentially racist. On a second look, I would agree that I can't identify anything actually racist about it. There are really no references to race that would suggest that the cartoon has racist overtones; if they had given her a banana, or depicted other black women in a similar way--thereby suggesting it was an overall commentary on her race rather than the First Lady alone--then it'd be racist.

It's still cruel and condemnable, but not because it's racist, because it's just not.

It is racist. It's using transphobia and sexism to construct black women's bodies differently, and therefore less desirable, than white women's. Racism and (hetero)sexism are often imbricated.

It very plainly did not depict "black women's bodies" in that light, which I conceded in my previous post would be racist. It only showed one black woman, the First Lady, and therefore there is literally no reason to believe, without the cartoon depicting more than one black woman, that her depiction had any relation to her race.
