Iron Man 2 Make Your Own After Credit Scene!

I think in this Marvel movieverse everyone would (or should) know about Captain America and his name would be as legendary to the world it was in the books (otherwise his return just doesn't have the same impact) so Tony should already know who Fury was talking about (he already has a copy of the shield in his lab as well).

I think the idea of Fury saying to Tony "You ain't gonna beleive what we just found" works a little better if the post credit scene is to link to Captain America.

Knowing Stark he's throw out: "What another eye ball?".

Here's an after credit scene:

Rhodes just landed and is still in War Machine.
Fury catches him in full suit.
Fury walks up to him says "Mr. Rhodes. How are you?".
Rhodes says "Ah, the pirate Tony talks about....What do you want?"
Fury: Tony's going to get himself killed. You know that right?
Rhodes: "What do you mean?".
Fury: "He's off fighting monsters now".
Rhodes doesn't even have to think about it. He already knows. His face plate comes down and he takes off.

Maybe they should make this one of the last scenes instead of after-credit coda, but they should have either a.) Edward NOrton in a cameo or b.) The Mandarin.

I thought Jon Favreau said Mandarin wouldn't be introduced until after Avengers?

after? They need to hint the dude somehow. If not a cameo, but at least mention him somehow.

I'm thinking of something someone on here mentioned(well, in one of these threads) that Hammer should be the one to mention/hint to Tony about the Mandarin in this movie. I think that is the best way. Hammer covertly would be a contact for the Mandarin and his organization in the west. We know that Stane was aware of him from the novelization. Maybe Mandy had to get a new guy in the western world once Stane was toast and Hammer is who he came up with.

I'm not familiar with Mandarin too much. I know he's the Japanese Tony Stark but, why is he soo important?

He's chinese actually and he isn't just an asian Tony Stark.

he's a mystical/techincongical villain, and he's the arch-villain to Iron Man. Just like how The Joker is to Batman, or Green Goblin is to Spidey.

I'll be frank here. I've NEVER READ ANY IRON MAN COMICS. so i have no idea!

i just know the mythos here and there; a jack of all trades if you will when it comes to comics. otherwise, I don't normally read Iron man.

Think about it: Comics are expensive so I'll read whenever I can. But now i'm just reading mostly indie comics and tradepaperbacks of Marvel and DC.

That pretty much sums up what I know about characters other than Hulk or Iron Man. I'm aware more or less about their mythos in general(much more from cartoons & movies & wikipedia than from comics) but I've never really go into them. I'll watch their movies though, but I really only have room for my two faves.

yeah that's what I figured when I first got into comics. you can't buy every series out there. It's too much. Focus on the stuff that you love and maybe dabble here and there with other titles.

Simple is always best.

Tony is working in his laboratory. His mouth is running at a million miles a minute and then he gets a call.

"Tony, listen to me. There's been a discovery in Antarctica. Steve Rogers is alive."

This may be a tad bit long, I dunno.

Night time. Tony sits in a chopper with Agent Coulson of SHIELD.

Tony: "So when are you gonna tell me what this is all about?"

Coulson: "You wanted to see Vanko didn't you? Well, we're going to see him."

The chopper lands at a secluded base in the middle of nowhere. The base is heavily guarded.

Tony gets led inside and they start walking down a corridor of what looks like empty high tech cells. The wall facing the corridor is made out of a transparent, glass like, material, giving perfect insight into the cells.

Agent Coulson: "Welcome to the Vault."

Tony stops and leans with his back against a cell he hasn't looked at yet.

Tony: "And this place can hold him? I mean, glass walls?"

Tony knocks with his one hand on the wall behind him to emphasize the point.

Suddenly the wall is struck from the inside. It makes a mighty impressive sound. Like a freakin' asteroid hit it.
Tony jumps away from the wall in surprise. On the other side stands Abomination. He growls, then strikes at the wall again, giving it everything he's got. The wall doesn't budge.

Agent Coulson: "It's not glass. And yeah... I think it should hold him."

I like it too but you could Stark approaching the cell

"What is this place anyways?"
"We call it The Vault...".

To cut down on time.

I'd be more than happy with that.
