what is the best dye to use for a 100% polyester trench coat? i tryed the idye poly and it didnt make a difference at all!!!

Polyester doesn't dye. Some say they have had results, but your essentially trying to dye 100% plastic.

Paid attention to every last detail, such as his left shoulder strap being undone. Unfortunately, I couldn't tie the belt as it was too short to tie together. I also forgot to pop the collar in those two brighter shots since that's when I just stepped out of my room after donning the outfit only a minute prior.

spectacular! one little note though, rorschach never uses his coat's belt loop properly, even though he could, he always ties it in a knot
kinda a trivial detail, but that's what I'm here for!


BTW, got me a trenchcoat at a goodwill, it's kind of a light old army green, and it's a bit long, but hey my mother didn't teach me to sew for nothing!!

They make a spray paint specifically for fabrics. You can pick it up at hobby lobby, michaels or joanns

thank ya so much guys!
i photoshopped(cut and recolored) the shot of rorschachs face on that magazine a while back and whitened around it and printed it on iron on paper...ironed it on an old rugged t shirt upside down...put it on upside down around my neck...cut a footing out of pantyhose and cut a hole in it for the face part...put it around my t shirt mask for the tightened mask look(also kinda looks like it all blends)and wala!

*Hurm* Alotta thought went into this I see? LOL With the pressed ink blot and t-shirt though, are you able to see through it that well?

my bro and me just checked your pic out ryo...he said your costume rocks(not much of a watchmen fan)...and you know i think it rocks....and KJ...its very hard to see...but i cut slits in the eyes and am wearing hose underneath as well so you cant see my eyes but now i can see about 50 percent better

Oh I see!!!!!! So basically you just cut in the pattern and did something to make the pantyhose black to see through then?

on the shirt upside down...cut a foot off pantyhose and then cut a hole in that and put it around the top and around the neck to tighten the shirt to give it the rugged look and make it more like a mask(all the extra shirt that is behind your head and neck gets covered by the hat and scarf)...and what ive added it slits for my eyes in the white of the t-shirt and am now wearing pantyhose around my face underneath...so now i can see yet it still looks fresh to death

thanks! I have this perfect off-white shirt, unfortunately the visibility is about 5%, but I'm going to attempt to remedy this in a similar way you did

The blood stain on the jacket aren't all that noticable so I might pump that up a bit as well as the overall "dirtiness" of his coat. Whatcha think?
