Making Costumes?

I've been wondering, do you guys have any tips as to how I can improve on my costume? I'm going to get Comedian's smilie face button, but what else?

figure out a way to fill out the trenchcoat a little better. the thing is perfect as a rorschach coat but it looks huge on you. maybe try padding out tne shulders and such. also shorten the coat a little. in the comics it goes to just barely above his knees. hope that helps!

Thanks for the help. Is there anyway to make it darker withoout dying it? And I'm also thinking of getting a spandex hood from those creepy websites like OctaviousINC.

whats it made of? if its 100% polyester, then no. thats the issue i had. i ended up just getting a new one. nut if its like cotton or something u cud try fabric paint, spraypaint, sharpies, etc

fabric spray stuff maybe?...and if you dont wanna use padding to fill it out...pull all the extra jacket that leaves the wrinkles and what not from the belt to the back for pics...ya know what im sayin?

i like how you matched your gloves and boots! nice catch. im trying to do the same, but it will probably be easier because my gloves are black. also did you dye the pats yourself? the color looks very custom/dyed (definitely not a bad thing!!!)

For the hat, I think it's more the angle of the shot but yes it does sit a little high. I think it's cause I've got so much hair under there. I should go and get it cut, but then it helps with the Joker costume so........

so im working on mine, and i was looking at how it looked on, and realized that the rorschach never actually wears the pin, even though like every fan-made costume pic i've seen has the damn thing pinned onto the lapel. so i removed the pin, and it looked oddly blank. So i spent a while trying to figure out what to add, and i think i might have come up with something. At the end of chapter 2, Rorschach goes to Blake's grave and takes one of the flowers moloch left and puts it on his lapel. What do you guys think? should i give it the flower or leave it as is?

ya i think i might. i have to see how it looks. but im gona keep the pin in my pocket, and im going to attempt to make the grappling gun (probably out of some cheap airsoft gun) and maybe even the journel to doodle in when im waiting in line!

I think it's some plum/maroon something in actuality, but the lighting in Watchmen is ever changing
