Making Costumes?

I cant wait to see more costumes pop up here. I'm doing something Watchmen related, but wont be able to work on it again until after Christmas. Great thread!

Vinyl, vinyl, vinyl - it's how I roll. As much as I love the original costume; there is no denying the new one is slightly more awesome.

By request, here are a few more Comedian costume pics.

I'm still improving my Comedian/Edward Blake costume. I plan to add the dog tags, a better belt and get the M79 grenade launcher, just like in the Watchmen movie. I should have it all complete by Halloween! Next up is my Rorschach costume . . .

Thanks! I used an old ladies blouse, it's kind of off white like the movie version, it looks really nice in person, these pics were with a webcam but I'll try and get some nicer ones of the full suit so far.

and the material it's made out of is 5% spandex and 95% cotton, it stretches very well!

I don't know if those would work but it'd be worth a try

For the star disc shoulder armor on Comedian's comic book outfit, couldn't you get a Frisbee type flying disc and warp it a bit w/ heat, and rig the strapping to it, and paint the disc to match the shield? Just my spitballing an idea here.

Alrighty, let's take a poll gang; I'm gonna start making this baby very soon and need to find only the best fabric for the mask, and just as well as others. What's the best recommendation that's beneficial to look, sight, ect. gang?

It's pretty much plain t-shirt material over black tights. I cut out small eyeholes and filled in around them with a black marker so they wouldn't be very noticeable. Here is a close-up so you can see the eye holes. Also a couple shots of what I had on underneath the coat.

So I havn't made a costume since my joker halloween costume and have been thinking about giving a rorschach a try. I already have purple pants and brown shoes from my joker costume. I am going to work on the mask soon and look for a coat at the local thrifts... I had this fedora in the basement that I was actually getting ready to put on ebay, but I think it will look the part with a different band around it... what do you guys think about the hat?

I didn't plan on dressing up or anything for Watchmen until I had an epiphany the other day, something cheap and easily done.
