Making Costumes?

I have just had one of the best days of my life.
I went along to the World Premiere of Watchmen in Liecester Square London U.K.
I took the costume I thought it would be a good laugh. Might get a few nods from the cast and crew.
Boy was I wrong!

What a nice guy! really. He looked up from signing autographs and this massive grin just breaks out, "Hey bro! there you are!, aww come here bro give me a hug. I know what you been through". And proceeded to give me a big hug. He quickly asked me how I got on with wearing the mask, I said I was about to ask him the same thing.
Also got an "Oh you look awesome there" from Patrick Wilson, and a "This is good" from Zach Snyder.
To top it all off they end up givinging me a ticket to get in!!!
So with 5 mins to spare I have to wip off the mask dash over the barrier and up the Yellow (not red) carpet and into the premiere.
I'm sitting in the cinema seeing the film introduced by Zach Snyder and the cast and I'm thinking "Am I really frikkin' here!"

The film was great! better than what I was expecting.
I'm completely worn out but smiling like a god damned badge!

Woah, that's awesome!!

aha thats awesome man, your story put a big smile on my face.
How was the movie?

If you're looking for a trench coat for the perfect Rorschach costume, just go to a Salvation Army or Good Will thrift store. You'd be surprised at what you can find at those places. My brother got a great trench coat for only about $25 a while back. Too bad one of his buddies misplaced it, because it would have been perfect for a Rorschach costume...

Got this off ebay(pretty darn pleased with it)

Thats really ****in badass Nosterious. I am jealous for real, but its a giant pleasure to hear how it all went. Thanks for sharing! Again, badass man.

Does anyone know where in the UK it would be good to look for a trenchcoat? hopefully not really expensive? or anywhere online that isnt too costly on the items and shipping?

If I can get my hands on some blue Halloween makeup and a bald cap in time, I'm going as Dr. Manhattan during his TV interview for the premiere. If I can't pull that together, I'll try to make a Comedian costume.

I envy you that you got all that in one night.

Reminds me when I had a convo with Tyler Mane, good times good times :O

Change of plans. I'm going as the Comedian after all.

I have:
- A black tank top
- A fake 'stache ('cause I'm not allowed to grow mine out because of ROTC)
- Fingerless gloves
- Shoulder pads (which need to be painted)
- Smiley face pin
- Dogtags

I need:
- Black cargo pants
- Harness (I'm going to buy an airsoft shoulder holster from Sports Authority)
- Domino mask (I may end up going without it - a la the Vietnam scene from the trailer)
- Fake cigar (Optional, but very, very desired)

A productive day! I got spray paint for my shoulder pads, but that's not all! At Goodwill, I made away with some black pants and combat boots. In addition, I got some fake cigarettes (that actually smoke) from Party City. Tomorrow, I will go back to Party City and buy a bullet belt. In a few minutes, I'm going to try drawing on a domino mask with liquid eyeliner. If it doesn't work, no big deal. I'll just go maskless. But I have everything I need now!

My friend's going as the Comedian. All he needs is a mask. Anyone a good/cheap way to make one?

Go to a craft store and buy a domino mask. Take some scissors and shape it to match Comedian's mask.

And you're done.

I went to MegaCon yesterday and I came back with the greatest picture ever, heh.

Rorschach breaking me and my friend Kyle's pinkies, haha X)

Where'd you get the mask? And can you see through it?

Personally, I'm just going to use black makeup around my eyes. Last night's test proves that it looks acceptable - if done right - and since I'm going to the midnight premiere, it's going to be dark and no one will really see anyway.

That's an awesome Rorschach. Also, the Harley hoodie is really cool too.
