Man dressed like The Joker slain by police in park

:hehe: Well, that is bad.

But I mean comic book snobs, elitists whatever you wanna call them really piss me off.

I mean, don't they want their favourite medium recognized as something more than just a niche for silly children?

It's like if you wasn't a comic book fan since you was a child you can't be a new comic book fan when you are older?

We want it to be treated with respect regardless of what the general public thinks....studio heads and the like seem to think that just because its super heroes means you have to market it to a family friendly audience....and that's getting tired

Yeh, but that isn't the bandwagoners' fault. That's the studios regarding moviegoers as mindless sacks of meat.

Oh yea I do have a problem with that. But that is their loss.

But you have to be careful not to put people off who have a genuine interest in the material.

Say for instance, someone joins here with a real, genuine, keen interest in knowing more about a certain character or just comics in general. Then a comic book "snob" comes along and blasts them down to the ground for asking what they deem a "silly" question. That is not a good thing, it's really quite pathetic. And I've seen it happen a few times. They have just put some one who is really interested in the medium off. You know what i mean?

I won't blast anyone for wanting to know more about the medium if they have a genuine interest.....

Step Up, Epic Movie, Twilight....the movie going audience at large are mindless sacks of meat

Like said before, this ******* is a disgrace to the Joker, and all of us.

Rational Batfan takes the stand:

The extremist wing of the fanbase is very annoying, I agree. What's becoming just as annoying is the negative folks, the anti-fans. It's just silly.

Us poor fans who aren't emo and *********e over dead celebrities and cry ourselves to sleep at night because Heath-Joker changed our world views and made us stain our purple underwear are left feeling uncomfortable because we enjoy something that is becoming hated for no other reason than having a lot of stupid fans. Let's all lighten up, shall we?

I can understand, but it's getting silly. I mean, where the f*** is the fire at? I don't see anything on the boards at the moment to be going off on one like this all the time. The very thing you're all complaining about is being perpetuated by yourselves while doing so.
QFT, My brutha. *fist-bump*
