Because they apparently have. They didn't have to make "All Hail the King" to begin with if they felt the way you do about this situation.

Or they just made it to appease the small subset of fans who wouldn't shut the hell up about how the Mandarin wasn't their precious Yellow Peril villain with magic space rings. This gives them at least an out and says "It's okay, neither of those guys were the real Mandarin" without having to actually commit and make a fourth Iron Man movie or risk the international box office since it's a DVD extra.

And people dismissing these One Shots as a pittance just sounds meaningless considering how we got Agent Carter's show in the first place.

And given that Agent Carter has been struggling in the ratings and might not even get a second season, that clearly didn't work out the way they thought, huh?

It's almost like sometimes the internet chatter doesn't actually amount to tangible interest!
