From the June issue of License magazine:

Warner Bros. Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Comics, has pegged Marc Ecko to design a co-branded limited edition men's and junior's fashion range based on the characters from Batman.

The line - featuring Batman, The Joker, Two-Face, Mr. Freeze, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Killer Croc and others - includes hoodies, tees, woven shirts, headwear and watches. The hoodies and tees will launch first in the U.S. and Canada in September at Mark Ecko, Ecko Unltd, Ecko complex, specialty and department stores. The men's range will fall under the Ecko Unltd, Marc Ecko Cut & Sewn and Zoo York brands, while the juniors' line will be under Ecko red label. The collection will range between $24 and $88.

"Both the Marc Ecko and the DC Comics brands resonate with an expansive and loyal fan base made up in large part by today's youth culture," says Karen McTier, executive vice president of domestic licensing and worldwide marketing for Warner Bros. Consumer Products. "Through this exclusive partnership, we are able to present trend-setting fashions to these fans at a level only Marc Ecko can attain."

Sweet. About time we get established designer labels behind the clothing. I'm tired of the cheap merchandise that they push out.

Yes, Marc Ecko is my favorite brand. Can't wait to see what he comes up with.

Okay, Im going to show how out of touch I am with fashion. Ive never heard of the name and where is this brand carried?

Macy's sells his clothes, they actually have a large selection so hopefully they will carry this Batman line.

He got established a while ago as a fashion designer. There's a great write-up on Inc's website about how he got started.

If you follow baseball, he's the one that bought the Barry Bonds #756 home run ball and had people vote on what to do with the ball (send to Hall of Fame, asterik the ball or something else like blow it up).

This is awesome news. The Star Wars stuff was great.

Dubs.

Yeah, Mark Ecko makes some cool stuff. I just hope there will be more affordable items that are nice.

I'll definitely keep up with this, right up my alley. A bit surprised they mention Harley and others in there. Can't wait to see what comes from this.

Nice I have a bunch from his Star Wars line, can't wait!!!

I googled his Star Wars line to see what those looked like. I wasnt impressed by the designs at all. Im sure the quality is fine, but the designs look something like I would see at Wal Mart. Maybe its the current trend, I dont know, but for those prices I sure as hell wouldnt buy any.

Ouch, lol...anytime I wear one of them out I at least get one comment on them. I went to a con with my Boba Fett hoodie and no joke 20 peopel asked me where I got it and commented on how cool it is. I own 4 of the shirts and 2 hoodies and I love them to death. It's a different cup of tea I guess, I wear my SW fandom on my sleeve proud of it as I do my Batman.
