Which sequences from the book were in the movie?

From what I remember the Israel sequence was pretty spot on with what happened in the book. In both movie and book I believe they stated it all started in China.

There is more but its been months since I saw the movie and about 6 weeks since I read the book and I have read 3 other books since!

They need to get Greg Nicotero to direct this. Have more stuff from the book, make the Zeds more gory and make them walk like they were intended in the book, not the linebackers we got from the first, and have Nicotero be incharge of the sfx.

Just came out on BD here, for some reason we didnt get the gorier version here in Australia but the movie is still great, some amazing sequences with the Israel one and the ending being standouts.

I wish Forster was returning personally but either way I cant wait for the sequel.

I really like him as a director. He can create some very good tension so I'm interested to see what he brings.

I am on the fence with the choice as I have never seen one of his movies, but both The Orphanage and The Impossible got very good reviews, so I am sure it will be a good movie at least. I wonder when they are thinking of releasing this sequel?

Well, they don't have a screenwriter yet so it'll be a while before it comes out. Maybe 2016 or 2017 at the most.

^Yeah I was think 2016, but 2017 would give them more time. 2016 would be 3 years from the 1st movie but who knows how long they have been developing this sequel. Apparently since the OW of the 1st movie.

Just watched this for the first time today.

THIS MOVIE SUCKED.

Good god. Worst editing of all-time. Which is no surprise, since the guy who directed this directed Quantum of Solace.

The action was so fast, the cuts from shot to shot were so fast, you could barely comprehend what was going on. I'd like to be "That Guy" and compare it to your standard Michael Bay/Jerry Bruckheimer MTV Music Video Sucktacular, but at least you can see what's happening in those movies.

This was almost unwatchable. It became so frustrating, I was getting a headache trying to understand what was happening. WITHIN A SINGLE MINUTE, AS IN 60 SECONDS, Brad Pitt cuts off a chick's arm in a cave (which you can't see, of course), a helicopter crashes, and Brad Pitt and Handless Chick get on an airplane. All within one minute.

I liked the sort of happy ending in the first movie. That's pretty rare for fiction about zombies. What would the sequel even be about?
