the things is running "zombies" makes sense in the world of 28 days as they are just people infected with a virus that makes them batty.

The wwz zombies are just that zombies. They can only be killed by destroying their brain. If you chop their head off they will still be chomping on the ground. They are traditional romero zombies as seen now in the walking dead. Not people with a virus that can be killed by any method.

They should move like they what they are, barely strung together corpses with no higher reflexes. Not with animal or "tiger" life reflexes.

This movie better be able to stand on its own because i see nothing taken from the books here.
^^^^^ i agree 100%

I don't mind them deviating from the book (as I believe a Band of Brothers‐esque miniseries would be the only way to do the book justice) but this looks decent.

I don't know a thing about the book so my impressions of the trailer have absolutely nothing to do with how the book did or didn't go.

I just don't see anything special in the trailer, it looks like a run of the mill CGI action fest...starring Brad Pitt! Eh.

Also I'm sick of Zombies.

Most likely PG13, doubt they will give it an R with how high the budget is.

From the first trailer, it looks pretty rubbish. Terrible CG and the whole film just looks like a mish-mash of several other things we've seen several other times before.

Like I've said before, I'll hold my judgement until I actually see the film. I'm wondering what parts of the book will actually be in the film? One of my favorite parts of the book was the tale of Kondo Tatsumi and his escape from the apartment complex.

The trailer makes this movie look like a turd fest. Way, way, way too much lame cgi. All of the zombies look silly and fake. This looks like I Am Legend with a white guy.

Way too much CGI. It looks like a video game. The premise sounded intriguing, but the movie looks at best to be another I Am Legend (which is very mediocre). I think I am going to pass.

See that's what I like that and the fact that we are FINALLY (seemingly) going to get a story that focuses on first response to a zombie plague. People waking up from comas or people being trapped in a farm house/mall is just played out at this point. I've been saying for years I want a movie/show that shows the world's first reactions and responses to this sort of thing. And it seems that's what we're getting and that is why I am excited for this movie

Ya, most of the recent zombie movies have been the survival of the aftermath. This one seems like you said an actual responce to the breakout. I've never read the book(though I do have it), so I have no bias one way or another.
I do know the book takes a view from different ppl's perspective? Maybe the director/producers/writers didn't feel they could pull off that type of story on the big screen(though, pulp fiction/sin city did a great job of it). So they are probably gonna cram some aspects of the book into one story?
Any who, its a zombie movie and I'll probably see it no matter.

I like the look of the movie, despite how ridiculous the zombie tsunami is. The movie could be good, but it looks like a terrible adaptation of World War Z.

Normally i'm not a fan of running zombies...but the way these things act is kind of entertaining to watch. Almost like a singular wave of bodies...it's really quite cool to look at and actually a little scary.

I thought we already got that with 2004's "Dawn of the Dead " remake?

i'd like to see zombies going back to its supernatural origins

It was just the pre-credits intro for the most part, this one will showcase all the **** that happens in real time almost.

True, but the special edition did have that short film with the news caster broadcasting the out break, and Andy's video diary.

I wonder why they decided to to make the zombies "runners" in the movie version of World War Z.

BTW, I like both runners & walkers.

All zombies run nowadays, it's the new trend. They're trying to go with the more popular virus thing as opposed to them just being undead.

I wonder if they'll mentions the Solanum virus from The Zombie Survival Guide?
