March 2012 sales numbers...

I think it's just continued bad news for Marvel, as despite getting the top spots, DC takes 7 of the top 10 spots.

The double shipping is really messing up Marvel's future. Books like Defenders (which i think is only "ok") Winter Soldier and Scarlett Spider, T-bolts are feeling the hit of people having to buy 5 avengers and spidey books a month. Its having a bad effect on books like Wolverine.

Honestly look at many of the DC books outselling certain marvel titles..it's ridiculous.

New Gaurdians outselling Fantastic Four? Batwoman outselling Captain America? WTF!

The honeymoon should be over for the new 52, but it's not..Marvel should really consider major changes in there creative direction. It's freakin stagnant. They should be horrified by these results, but no doubt are patting themselves on the back for 200k sales on AxX.

Gulp ! secret Avengers may be toast just when i was starting to enjoy it

No surprise that AvX sold like crazy - we all knew that was coming with Marvel's quick announcement of a second printing. I'm glad to see DD is increasing sales and the word is out. But.....

WHAT THE F**K JUST HAPPENED TO SECRET AVENGERS?!?!?!?!?! A 20K drop off in one month! What the holy hell is going on??? It just dropped into cancellation territory!

There is no way that Secret Avengers dropped that hard. There has to be a mistake here.

Yeah... the Secret Avengers' number kind of scared me... :csad:

Hopefully, the book gets good word of mouth...

:yay:

I think there was a shipping error with Secret Avengers.

There had to have been.

OK, I'm still trying to wrap my head around this.

So, Cap is off Secret Avengers, Hawkeye is on, Captain Britain is on. And Venom is on, who in the month prior, sold all 5 of those point one issues at an average of 28,390 for a grand total of 141,953. Yet, all these fans just up and dropped the book....? I don't get it...

There's definitely more to the story for Secret Avengers than we're seeing. Also i'm worried dearly about Punisher, i'm hopin Rucka can at least finish his story before the inevitable...

That would suck if Punisher got canned but I think once the Omega arc ends, all bets are off.

Secret Avengers shocks me with how low it is and Avengers Assemble shocks me with how high it debuted. I'm expecting a steep decline for that title and fast. I think it's awesome how well DC is doing. As much as I like seeing books given a chance (and how much I'm enjoying Grifter) they need to trim some of that fat that's barely selling and make way for other projects that fans might demands more. I'm expecting Earth 2 and Batman, Inc. to sell well, bumping most of Marvel's books down another two slots. Despite my no longer reading it, I'm surprised that Swamp Thing isn't doing better. That's about as solid of a comic as they come. I'd still be reading it if it weren't for my PG mentality. Same with Animal Man.

How long does Jim Lee plan on being the artist for Justice League? 12 issues?

Issue 7 and I think 8 or so is a fill-in artist, Gene Ha, and it still sold wonderfully.

And once Jim Lee gets back on the book i imagine it'll spike back up.

Its a false alarm on secret Avengers folks, as many of the markets for #24 shipped in April

Yeah, Johns said recently him and Lee were already planning the second year of JL so i think he's on it for the long haul.

It's a mindless fun Batman book. Sometimes you just want to read a book where things go boom. I stayed with it until about an issue or two ago before I decided I was done. I I'll be back for Jenkins' Court of Owls tie-in issue and I'm debating on continuing after that with the new writer. It sounds like it has promise and I like Finch's art.

I get the book for TSoB... seeing as he's 13 years old, he likes the more action driven Batbook...

:yay:

Though he also gets the main Batman title... which he says he finds it "trippy"... his words...

His words are correct. Issue, 5 I think it was, when Batman's mind was broken, made me feel dizzy (granted, I was experiencing vertigo at the time but that book didn't help it any).

Scott Snyder's doing a fantastic job on Batman. I have no interest in any other Batman comics, though, so that's the only one I'm reading right now.

Batman & Robin had a very slow start but it's turned out to be an amazing read. Seeing the father/son relationship between Bruce and Damian and how Tomasi is handling it, dealing with their conflicting idiologies regarding death is just fantastic. The past two or three issues have been very emotional. Personally, I'm enjoying it more than even Snyder's Batman, which I totally didn't expect 4 or so issues ago.

Snyder's Batman is a deep mystery that appeals to the creative and curious portions of my brain. Tomasi's Batman & Robin is an emotional story that appeals to the parental and compassionate aspects of my brain. Both titles are amazing in different ways, nothing alike, but equally good.

I can't believe how bad the Ultimate books are doing. Ultimate s is a good solid book right now.
