well, if I were a girl and my (super)man left me like that......I would personally castrate him with Kryptonite laced chemicals..........

No, it came from my own two eyes, but perhaps I should have said Christ analogies instead. One stands out as being very God or Christ like ( your choice). It was when he recharged with the sun and flew back to earth. The clouds parted and sunlight burst forth with him. If thats not Godlike, then I don't know what to tell you. I'm not complaining about this scene though, I loved it.I dot agree here. Superman is nothing Godlike in SR. I dont see where this statments come from. I think ppl assume this more from Singer interviews than from movie itself.
Though i'm very skeptical about Millar's claims, yes, i think this may improve his chances if Warners are still considering a reboot.Whoa! And he keeps running his mouth about doing Superman like he has no shame. Agreed that if WB were thinking of reboot then will definitely look at Millar...just because a 51 million opener ain't nuthin to sneeze at.
Thanks Retro!
I haven't seen Wanted yet so it's hard for me to judge. The overall reaction from general audience and critics is positive even though a lot has been altered from the original comics.Wanted the film has nothing in common with Millars Wanted the comic, their are tiny similarities but for the most part its a completly diffrent story. Besides Wanted is a medicore film at best,

Millar did have a contribution to the movie doing consultation and even writing some dialogue plus he's an exec producer.not to mention Millar had nothing at all to do with the film.
Just because Mark Millar wants to do a Superman Movie, doesn't mean he is going to.

Mark MIller has at least some knowledge about the character, unlike Singer and most of the guys that are posting here.

Did you watch the documentary "The Amazing Story of Superman" Singer made before SR came out?! It was really good and showed Singer had a great deal of knowledge of Supes. Know how he chose to use it is another question and debate altogether, but Millar truly has no grasp of Superman at all!
Well, Bryan Singer was only one of the two executive producers on that project. It was directed by the other executive producer, Kevin Burns, and written by James Grant Goldin and Steven Smith. I would say that they're the ones with the real knowledge of Superman, although if I watched the documentary again, I could probably pick out some factual flaws in it, but if Bryan Singer knows anything about Superman, I'd say it's only what he learned from watching the documentary when it was finished.
any director of a superhero movie does some research of that particular character.
The thing about W.B. that really irks me is when someone like this comes out spouting off stuff, they remain silent.
It's as if they like shooting themselves in the foot or something.

I've been reading what Mark Millar has been saying and find his comments to be entirely of self-interest, creating propaganda to fulfill his own ambitions. Stating that the "last movie lost $200m" is ill informed and his actions could contriute to killing of any new Superman movie, reboot or sequel.
The WB is not going to say anything about Superman because of what happened with Justice League. They this time around just wants to keep everything quiet and just release something once they got the scrit in and I think the villain cast. Much like how they did with the Dark Knight.
Sure he did some research, he watched Superman from 1978. That was all the research he felt he needed to do apparently.
