I also think it's Bay because Millar refered to the director as a high octane director. There are lots of directors that do action films but Bay fits this description perfectly. And I seriously think people hate Bay because it's the 'cool' thing to do. People on the internet sometimes lack independant thinking and start regurgitating what other people have said. Same goes for Mark Millar. People start criticizing his work cause others have even though they may not have read one comic of his.
If I had the choice of a Superman film being slow paced oscar contender that does okay at the BO or a high paced action film that grosses a billion dollars and gets sequels I'd go with choice B. Though of course a film that grosses over a billion dollars and wins oscars would be nice too. But then people on the internet would still complain. Think Titanic.
