Marvel needs to buy the rights to batman

It seems theres this trend of all the comic talent jumping ship to marvel of late, so it's possible that DC may eventually be bought out by marvel.

you never know DC has existed on Batman and superman nearly its entire life no other comic featuring heroes they sell comes close. add to this that the are already a subsiddery of Warner Bros and you never can tell...

DCs main problem is nearly evrything trickles down from the justice league ask a DC fan thier favourite character and you will probably never hear the likes of mister terrific or wildcat who are the more obscure dc characters, widely unknown to some but on the other hand plenty of people have at least heard of luke cage (of power man and iron fist), or cloak and dagger also obscure Marvel characters.

Another reason i feel Marvel is better is the villains a great hero is nothing without a great villain DC villains are odd that they mainly are the antagonist to thier responding hero and almost never cross to fight anyone else they are also imo very badly written and designed no bite to them of course batmans rogues are the big exception but barring them and supermans main foes (darkseid who has been reduced from dc greatest villain, truely a match for superman to a punch bag for supes brought out far to often) lex luthor who hasnt had an ingenious plan in 20 years DC has no villains to really talk about imo the flash wonderwoman manhunter and the rest (see it still trickles down from the JL) have no villains to truly test them.

Batman is DC tho...i think if DC sells him theyll go straight downhill...theyd never do it

They almost did once.Back in the mid 70's DC comtimplated selling all of its heroes to Marvel comics. All but Superman & Batman were all but sold.Marvel tryed a squeeze play to rope in both Bats and Supes into the deal.DC caved on Batman but still refused to sell Superman.

Marvel still wanted Superman so they delayed the deal and then the rights to do a Superman film were bought saving DC from having to sell.

Praise the lord!

the thought of Marvel owning Batman makes me cringe...he probably would have revelaed his identity to the world by now if he was owned by Marvel and probably wouldn't be doing anything overly interesting like most Marvel characters these days...

oh, maybe he'd even get gunned down like Captain America to sell some cheap shock profit comics

i do think baman is more suited to marvel but i would hate for them to buy rights to him let him stay where he is the only truely interesting character in the DC universe.

batman would use his intelegence to find a way to de-hulk-ify him....and then he would chuck norris roundhouse kick bruce in the jaw

Thats as silly as the batman beating superman stuff i sometimes hear in a one on one fast confrontation Batman would lose against hulk, superman and most other characters i love batman but he seems out of place at DC the moment he steps out of gotham.

i wouldn't really say that Batman out of gotham seems out of place, he is still a great detective, but yes, Batman beating Superman or guys like Darkseid... No. No. I say no.

Have you seen what Joe Q has done to Spidey?

Why on earth would you want him to have control of Batman too?

I think spiderman is still good peter parker had to grow up sometime he like other Marvel characters move with the times and are not stuck in a permanent 1940/50s time bubble.

I think he does seem out of place outside gotham with its godlike heroes roaming round seems so completely different from the gritty realistic gotham. Marvels answer to batman, daredevil easily still seems in place out hells kitchen.

dare devil is also a metahuman. but i see your point

If that's the case I'm glad I'm old-fashioned.

DC is owned by Warner. Marvel is indepedent. If anything, DC is buying Marvel.

Yeah I know...which is why what they're doing to him is HORRIBLE.

Growing up would involve getting married and maybe even starting a family, but Joe Q decided that he hated the marriage, and used a crappy connived storyline that involved the freaking DEVIL offering to save Peter's dying Aunt (who's well into her 70's if not her 80's) in return for his marriage.

Not only did Peter accept an offer FROM THE DEVIL, Joe Q used this to revert Peter back to a single guy, which would be sticking the character back in a bubble and not allowing him to grow up. Marvel doing this shows that they don't want Peter to grow up, so I would think that you would be opposed to the changes for the reasons you stated, not for them.

Batman can take Mary Jane home to his mansion while Spider-Man cries in shame.

Batman and his related characters really do not fit in the DCU. He sticks out in the JL like a sore thumb. He would fit in so much better at Marvel because so many of their characters are much more human and not as cheesy/invincible.

If they bought the rights to batman, I'd would be an exclusive marvel reader.

Unfortunately Batman is my favorite superhero by far so I have to continue buying all the DCU books that have important batman events included in them.
