S01 was disappointing, but it was better than most of the D+ Marvel slop we've got, mostly thanks to the reshoots. Now that they won't have to Frankenstein the show no more, I'm 200 % on board with whatever Dario Scardapane has in store for us.

Do you think it will release before or after Secret Wars?

I don't see why they would need to wait til 2028 to release season 3, especially if the plan is to release a new season every year like a traditional tv series.

Season 1 - March 2025 premiere
Season 2 - March 2026 premiere
Season 3 - March 2027 premiere (I guess)

I also think this should help the Netflix Iron Fist to finally appear in the MCU. I think Luke Cage is a no brainer, if he's not in season 2 then season 3. Elektra, who knows? We already got a Elektra in the MCU movies.

D'onofrio is great. I'd still prefer a different main villain. That being said, I think they were going for a different main villain in Born Again before they pivoted.

Heck, I still do- when wondering about characters like Luke or Claire or and so on, I don't go 'When will Marvel bring in their other street-level characters.' It's usually 'When will more of the Netflix characters show up?' Marvel Television created and produced those shows, sure, but no one calls them 'The Marvel shows on Netflix.' well said. they had all the time during after the first phase of the Infinity saga to integrate the Netflix MCU into the movies only to have the fan base constantly be uncertain about whether the shows even are in the canon of the movies or not for the vast majority of the time.

...thee second season of Born Again sure sounds a lot like the comic book storyline Last Rites from 1991, written Al Milgrom and penciled by Mark Bagley. Last Rites sees Matt getting revenge against the Kingpin by turning the tables, and systemically taking apart Fisk’s life.
If season 2 of Born Again is using Last Rites as a guide, then Mr. Charles could give Lillard a character to play who’s just as memorable

Though I do remember getting the 300th issue special, I Don't know that I ever read that full arc, kind of tuned out after Miller and into Nocenti's run. Apparently DD turns the tables and finally takes down Fisk. Though not sure who the "Mr. Charles" character the article is speculating that Lillard might play is based on?

I know Jeph Loeb is not the most popular guy, but he's technically not wrong. At the time, at least, I recognized those characters as MCU even though they were constantly being denied and shut down later. Marvel Netflix was sort of an easy way to shorthand them as we transitioned to the post-Endgame Disney+ era.

True or not, while I'd like to see Kingpin stake a claim in Spider-Man's NYC, and expand the brief Peter Parker & Matt Murdock cameo into a legit Spider-Man - DD team-up.
As far as Doomsday, DD might be better off steered clear of that possibly overwrought bloated mess.
What I liked about DD and Punisher to begin with, was for the most they were separate from the outrageous infinite-multimania-snappyverse.
While I'm looking forward to S2, that it's already being used as a vehicle to re-launch their other languishing IPs (never really followed Defenders except to see Elektra's fate), might already be more than enough.

Isn't Jessica Jones just a reworking of Jessica Drew Spider-Woman (without the themes and costumes she's always meta-snark dismissing)?
I would rather have...

Yep. The article is definitely wrong about the writer. I'm not a huge fan of D.G. Chichester's writing, which is a shame because he's a really nice guy. But Last Rites is far and away his best story, so he absolutely deserves credit.

No clue who the article means by Mr. Charles. I've read the story several times and don't remember him. None of the online sources suggest he's a character either. Are they thinking of Col. Strang, who ended up being Baron Von Strucker?
