Born Again Marvel Studios’ Daredevil: Born Again General Discussion Thread

S01 was disappointing, but it was better than most of the D+ Marvel slop we've got, mostly thanks to the reshoots. Now that they won't have to Frankenstein the show no more, I'm 200 % on board with whatever Dario Scardapane has in store for us.

Do you think it will release before or after Secret Wars?
I don't see why they would need to wait til 2028 to release season 3, especially if the plan is to release a new season every year like a traditional tv series.

Season 1 - March 2025 premiere
Season 2 - March 2026 premiere
Season 3 - March 2027 premiere (I guess)

I also think this should help the Netflix Iron Fist to finally appear in the MCU. I think Luke Cage is a no brainer, if he's not in season 2 then season 3. Elektra, who knows? We already got a Elektra in the MCU movies.

Good news. Hopefully Daredevil doesn't get to three season only to possibly get axed after the third one again.

Disney better do what they need to do to avoid getting the "full Target" treatment.

Reddit is like "Can we not have Wilson Fisk as the main villain for season three anymore?"

S2 sets: ?

Hopefully. Bring some soul back to the show. Not surprised Disney would shy away from Matt's faith at the start.

A secularized DD is not Daredevil.

D'onofrio is great. I'd still prefer a different main villain. That being said, I think they were going for a different main villain in Born Again before they pivoted.

I feel like I've seen this Daredevil-Kingpin conflict too many times now. This is basically going to be the 5th season of Daredevil & Kingpin.

I must be the sole person on Earth who can't get enough of that conflict, I want it to conclude in a movie.

If Elden Hanson does come back as Foggy Nelson in season two, it should be via flashbacks.

No idea on the reliability of that source, take for what it's worth.
Would love to see her back. ...again.

"One thing that I'd love to clear up – while it's an easy shorthand to call them the 'Netflix' heroes – the plain truth is Netflix was our network. They aired the shows that then Marvel Television created, produced, wrote, cast, shot, edited, scored, etc. – hours and hours of some of the most brilliant people who worked on those shows for Marvel TV,"

Oh hush, Jeph Loeb. Go back to telling us how "It's all connected." People have and are probably always going to call them the Marvel Netflix heroes because those shows aired on Netflix. Heck, I still do- when wondering about characters like Luke or Claire or and so on, I don't go 'When will Marvel bring in their other street-level characters.' It's usually 'When will more of the Netflix characters show up?' Marvel Television created and produced those shows, sure, but no one calls them 'The Marvel shows on Netflix.' It's usually 'The Netflix characters.'

Ah, I remember the frustration from that era. Weirdly, I saw a montage trailer with Stan Lee, for the Netflix shows in a cinema. Though I don't remember the name of that trailer anymore.

Bathing it in red light, somewhat conceals...

"We are communicating a lot with the team on Spider-Man: Brand New Day to make sure that there's coherence there," Winderbaum says. "We don't want to spoil anything, but it very much exists in the same world and it is important."

If true, besides Spidey and DD swinging off NYC rooftops together, D'Onofrio Kingpin in Spider-Man U would be great.

well said. they had all the time during after the first phase of the Infinity saga to integrate the Netflix MCU into the movies only to have the fan base constantly be uncertain about whether the shows even are in the canon of the movies or not for the vast majority of the time.
