Q: Are you, I guess, more involved with some of the other movies like “X-Men?” Are you guys being more involved with those? Obviously, Fox and Sony must be seeing what a great job you’re doing on your own. Are they kind of coming to you more for help with getting those things?

Kevin Feige: It varies — I wouldn’t say for help. I mean there’s certain – there’s some approvals or contractual agreements. And then, you know, I know a lot of the people there for many, many years. So there’s that thing. It’s more on the Sony side, on the “Spiderman” side with the new “Spiderman” film.

So Marvel Studios apparently has some contractual agreements with Sony regarding The Amazing Spider-Man. I am not trying to start the argument up about TAS being in the MCU AGAIN. This is just interesting and we can speculate what this means.

If anything, it's the planning stages of something...MAYBE. And honestly, do we need a thread on this? We already discussed it in as much length as it deserved in the general discussion thread.

It means nothing. Obviously they have contractual agreements. Rights in exchange for money. They have no creative control.

All this really means is that Fiege had input in terms of script and casting.

He mentioned this last year in an interview and said he didn't have any involvement in X-Men: First Class, but did offer input in regards to ASM.

Basically a courtesy on Sony's behalf, hence Fiege's comments "It's more on the Sony side"

They clearly ask him "Did Fox or Sony ask you for any help?" and he says that Sony did.

There is nothing to talk about, if anyone picks this apart and thinks that this has anything to do with Spider-Man being involved with the MCU they're delusional.
