Marvel Studios should get into live-action television...

How long does it take to do the effects in Smallville and Heroes?

Doctor Who can get it done in a weekly format but they only have 13 episode seasons.

The Japanese are able to do very well with their genre shows, too. Garo has amazing special effects just as good as an any American genre show.

Well if you noticed in my post that I referenced the Hulk(cause he's probably the hardest SFX-wise to do). When they can get him done for a reasonable amount of $ and on time for a weekly TV show then we'll know TV has caught up with film. Also as I said, other heroes can be done well right now(I mentioned DD).

It does depend on the property. Street levelers and things like SHIELD would be a possible.

Still, we have the technology to get planetary threats on the small screen done well. Just not the high level heroes like WW or Superman. Though even those aren't that far behind.

Daredevil would be perfect. Not a lot of budget and gets a major Marvel U player out there for all to see.

I think the major big deal about doing a live action series is, you'd better get someone with experience that can handle it, just like with the films. If people like Joss Whedon, Ronald Moore, JJ Abrams, Damon Lindelof, Tim Kring, Paul Dini etc. were involved and not some nobodies like with Mutant X and Birds of Prey, they might be able to get a hell of a series done.

Agreed.

BSG is ending soon, Moore would be perfect to be the showrunner of Marvel universe tv show.

Another candidate is JMS. He's worked for Marvel for years, is writing the Thor comic series and is a proven genre tv show hit maker.

David Fury is another potential showrunner. He's done great genre work in Buffy and Angel.

Ah, yes, JMS too.

Also, since Brian K. Vaughan is in TV now, he could develop a helluva comics based series.

I have always thought Daredevil could work as a live action tv series. It would bring the character to another level of popularity.

Read what I wrote a page back and let me know what you think.

Sure. Bring in Brian Michael Bendis and Ed Brubaker as creative consultants, and there you have it.

Bendis could write some episodes, too.

He's written screenplays before and his style would fit tv.

Apparently a Skrull Kill Krew series was/is planned, which sounds good to me.

I could see X-Factor as a tv-series with Havok, etc., but I don't know if they could be used since 20th Century Fox has the rights to the X-Men franchise. I don't know how that works since there is a connection to X-Men.
