Marvel has no leg to stand on going up against those slated films. What MCU properties could honestly go in 2016 and 2017 that take precedence over a WF and JL film?
Cap 3 won't have the same intrigue that Batfleck would bring to audiences. You are talking about matching up the two most iconic superheroes of all time. Marvel simply doesn't have the brand name character that's ready to challenge that film in 2016.
2017 is no different. Dr Strange? Maybe another Hulk film? All Marvel can hope for is another B&R situation at WB/DC. Only an Avenger ensemble would have the brand recognition that would make WB think twice.
I think if this was 6 years ago, it would be a valid observation. But Marvel has built enough of a brand that it can given them a run for their money. I'm not saying it would have a bigger box office, but they won't get run over.
