I like this, but maybe swap out Colossus for another strong-guy X-Man like Thunderbird (I feel like Colossus has gotten a lot of play lately with the Deadpool movies):

- Hank McCoy / Beast
- John Proudstar / Thunderbird
- Bobby Drake / Iceman

A nice diverse group of long-standing X-Men characters from the 05/Second Genesis teams.

fair enough about Colossus and how much airtime he's been getting.

i can dig it. that group there just needs a tank to balance them out. maybe instead of Thunderbird or another muscle guy starting out with them, part of their journey is finding one along the way.

while, Iceman and Gambit would appear in a few scenes

I can't picture them leaving out Gambit for the first film especially after the original trilogy two decades ago. X-Men 2 is going to take another 3 to 4 years after the reboot, so I don't think they would want people to wait more just to have Gambit on the team.

Now, for the first movie, can add Colossus and Beast as cameos, and give them big role for next installments. I think we wont have origin story again like fox new timeline. They will be already active

We've done with Beast during Fox saga. He had too many appearances. Colossus will be seen in Deadpool 3.

I want the initial core team - Cyclops, Iceman, Angel, Beast, and Jean Grey. Leave Wolverine out of the action for a while, and when you do bring him back, cast someone who resembles him in the books.

If we're getting a roster that's not the founding team, then I'd rather the O5 be that historically, and then the team we meet for the first time be something like Cyclops, Jean, Storm, Wolverine, Beast, Colossus, Nightcrawler, and Rogue.

With regard to actors, I haven't kept up with the majority of today's younger talent, so I can't recommend anyone. Somebody mentioned Ewan McGregor for Charles, but I think he's a little too young - Patrick was 60 in the first one.
