Marvel's MMORPG: Marvel Universe Online ***TRAILER***

Oh my bad...i just saw that up there...they shouldnt cancel it though...it woudl be a good game if they do it right.

I hope it is canceled if you don't get to play as Marvel characters. There is no need for a Marvel edition of CoH.

Well, for the people who dont have CoH, or for those who did buy it, but there computer was to damn old to run the game, and never actualy got it playing becuase they needed some stupid ass card that they look for and couldent find one anywhere so they got screwed 50 out of a game they bought...

dosent that happen to everyone?

You don't need a card, you could subscribe online. Also, if your computer was too old for COH, it will def. be too old for this.

I heard this game was going to be cancelled, Im making a thread on it with the news I found.

That was silly... why not just post it here in the thread about the game?

EDIT: We've already got the link to that article posted in this thread, quoted on this very page.

Don't worry about starting threads... I haven't started one in forever, and I'm still cool. :)

CANCELLED, WTF THIS MEANS THOSE SONY ****BOYS GET A DC BASED MMO AND WE GET ****ED. This was a perfect universe to develop into an mmo, much deeper than dc's what could possibly have gone wrong I just cannot figure it out. City of Heroes was great, I am just at a total loss.

I guess there is always Age of Conan to look forward too in this arena.

gah first MN2 (which by the trailer would have been awesome), now this.. bah!

thats assuming the DC project takes off. Anyways I thought it was a bad idea to do the Marvel MMO. It might sound good in theory but I didnt have high hopes for it as I didnt think it would really work. I think the game model set forth in MUA is more practical and what they should be focusing on

So basically, they canned it because the only game people are dumb enough to pay $15 a month for is World of Warcraft. It's a shame, this game could have been good (except for the monthly $ubscription), but it's obviously not happening now. Maybe it's high time these devs find a more customer-friendly way to deliver MMOs to make them more competitive with WoW. Sony is trying to move away from the pay-to-play model more towards something funded by ads and microtransactions. If they want to sell a subscription to remove ads for hardcore players, dandy. But requiring $15 a month for a game that already costs $50 is simply asking too much.

i agree.. i miss the days of Age of Mythology where u can play that stuff for free all day

I thought the $15 a month was outrageous too but I'd sure as hell got my money's worth out of my first few months playing WOW and COH
