Mass Violence in America: the All Inclusive Thread

What the ever loving ****? Now they had a negotiator? Who just so happened to be hidden and away from all the other cops?

Yeah, hold on to your seats, some **** is about to come out.
A possibility is they wanted to use a landline and not a personal cellphone to contact the shooter.

Why would you give these liars any benefit of the doubt. We haven't heard about a negotiator for over a week.

Shot by the police, btw. The Ouroboros of American Exceptionalism.

That doesn't really eliminate the possibility. Landlines are mostly used in businesses these days, and they wouldn't have access to one on school property. And I doubt those poorly equipped morons had a sat phone or even car phones for their cruisers.

None of this explains why they misread the situation so badly, and doesn't excuse their criminal negligence, but it would explain why a supposed negotiator would be wasting time to go to a nearby business. And I do agree that LEOs screwed up terribly, and these excuses they are giving are suspicious and weak.

And the beat goes on.......God bless Gunmerica. I am so beyond sick of this Bull S*** I......I don't know....frustrated doesn't even begin to describe it.

One thing I noticed when this first happened was that the majority of the victims weren't white. It made me wonder if the school's students were mostly non whites. And if it is mostly non whites, I wonder if that influenced the police response. Then when you factor in that the shooter was not white, and police sent border patrol in first...

The implications are disturbing.

From the first that I started hearing about the shooting and that it took so long for the cops to do something, and then seeing all the grieving families being Mexican American, I too thought this sounded like it was going to go racial. I think at first the news services were not wanting to go there with it....but I seriously think the more iti s looked into the more **** is going to be uncovered.

Google "Uvalde Police Force" and you'll see they are mostly Latino. The town itself is 80% Latino. It was said that some police officers got their own children out of the school before other parents could get their kids.

The mostly Latino police force didn't care about the mostly Latino students, some of whom were there own kids? Genuinely confused at what you're trying to say here.

Even the shooter was Latino, yes? I don't see race factoring in this at all.

Exactly whats in my post. Was the criminal negligence and the choices made by authorities a result of racism? The racial makeup of an entire police force doesn't really rule racism out if the ones on the scene are racially biased or prejudiced or just dont care.

The police being mostly Latino doesn't even rule out prejudice. Latinos are not a single group, and there are existing prejudices between Mexicans and Central Americans. But Idk what groups make up most of the Uvalde community so I can't really say if that could be an issue inthe Uvalde community.

President Biden is to deliver a prime time address on gun violence tonight.

Likely will be pretty much the same speech we heard a million times now and then nothing will happen because a certain political party will stop any attempt to do something

Not technically criminal negligence, since, per SCOTUS, the police do not have a duty to help people.

One dead, 8 injured in north Phoenix shooting; police investigation underway

Police received multiple shots fired calls at around 1 a.m. and responded to a strip mall in the area of 10th Avenue and Hatcher Road.

Approximately 100 people were gathered at a possible party when an altercation broke out, leading to gunshots fired into a crowd. The shooting allegedly occurred inside a building, in the parking lot and roadway area, authorities said.

Three victims were transported to hospitals with life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

A female, believed to be an adult, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Five adult males and a teenage male suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

The victims were between 18-24 years old.
