Is he not the most Bad Ass person ever? Seriously, Christopher Walken is awesome and Max Shreck is definitely one of my favorite early Bat-Films Villains.

Discuss!

"You think you could go fifteen rounds of Mohammed Shreck?"

Max was awesome :D

I liked him too, although I wasn't crazy about the hair. lol
Burton based him off the the actor who played Count Orlock in Nosferatu(1922)and you can't get any creepier than him.

"Bottom line, she tries to blackmail me, I'll drop her out a higher window. Meantime, I got better fish to fry!"

Haha :D

Burton himself said that he found Christopher Walken pretty as hell.

Does anyone have any high resolution photos of Max? Or photos of when he was fried?

PRETTY? Gotta link? I must see this :woot:

I thought he was a cool for an original character not from the comics.

Like the Red Triangle Circus Gang, I though Max Schreck could easily come from the comics - especially the Bob Kane era. He could have been in that weird story about vampires and werewolves.

I like Walken as an actor but I never liked his character, he took Dent's place in RETURNS.

Max Shreck was there to show the mirror image of Bruce Wayne. And I really liked his character.

I LOVE Max Shreck in this movie. He has such great lines and always makes me laugh at this scene...

MAX: Ingenious costume. Let me guess... Trust-fund goody-goody?
BRUCE: Course you're feeling fine ... You almost made a monster the Mayor of Gotham City.

MAX I am the light of this city. And I am its mean, twisted soul. Does it really matter who's the "mayor"?

BRUCE: It does to me.

MAX: Yawn.

Haha! The way it's delivered and his facial expression is so damn hilarious! :woot:

I like the character.-

It's really hilarious the way he can be such an hypocrit with so little problem and such a straight face.

Je was originally the Penguin's brother, you know...and before that, he was Harvey Dent.

Yeah, I knew. Too bad about Harvey Dent not making it in. He could of just been present in a few scenes though. Did you read Sam Hamm's Batman II's script? It was meh for me. Though I liked some of the stuff they had. I liked that it didn't just take place in the city square. And I liked the museum Bruce/Selina scene. I love BR and I think it's very underrated but if they added more scope to the film I think it could of been as good as B89.

Max was a great character. One of my favorites. He had a lot of great lines. The hair was a little much. He he.

I'm surprised he never made any other transition into other mediums. I reckon he could have worked well in the batman

Wait, so he was originally a pre-Two-Face Dent? So that means Burton was going to make Harvey crooked right from the start? Good man.

Dagget from BTAS was intended to be Shreck.

Really? I did not know that.

Yep, it was in Sam Hamm's original script. Catwoman scars him and he becomes Two-Face for the third film. I'm sure it would have been pretty cool.

How was he unnecessary? He was instrumental in both the Penguin's and Catwoman's storylines.

Precisely.

I like how he just shrugs off the Penguin after Batman plays those incriminating recordings. Such a politician. :D
