Mayweather vs. De la Hoya

I don't know about everyone else here, especially those who enjoy Boxing, but I am really looking forward to tomorrow's bout between the Mayweather and De la Hoya. There's just so much hype surrounding this match that it's getting me all excited. I hope the fight lives to the expectations of many. I know that Mayweather is an a-hole but I think he's one heck of a fighter and so I'm placing my money on him.

Boxing has lost alot of steam on big money fights in the 2000s, looking forward to this one.....Experience for De La Hoya but does he have the endurance??, Mayweather Fast and Young....I know that It won't go to 12 rounds....

Floyd is the odd's on favorite. Anything can happen in boxing, though, and Oscar is no slouch. He may not be as young as he used to and able to go at it as long, but he's got experience. If De la Hoya is going to win it, it will be in the earlier rounds. The longer Mayweather drags it out, the more tired Oscar will be and the more likely he'll make a mistake. I'll be surprised if either of these guys gets knocked out. It's more likely to go to a decision, and I'd give Floyd the edge if that's the case because of his better stamina over De la Hoya. But, anything's possible.

In a battle of Experience vs. Endurance it's going to be quite a hard call but like jag said, if Oscar is going to win it, he's going to have to knock Floyd out very early. I would hate to see this bout come to a decision.

It's going to be a good match....I would probably move towards Mayweather...his double right, and the fact that his dad is back helping with his training is a huge plus for him.....since his dad also trained De la Hoya...

BUT, Mayweather has alot of personal crap going on in his life as well.....if he has put all of that aside during his training, then he should be ready for De la Hoya tomorrow.....we shall see.....


But....Oscar is sooooo much cuter.........so I'll go with Oscar in the end.....

Oscar is my favorite boxer. I always hope he wins.

Like jag sai, De La Hoya's going to have to beat him in the early rounds but I don't know if he's that powerful.

On the other hand, Mayweather hasn't fought anyone like Oscar.

Mayweather's dad is going to screw De La Hoya and give away secrets.

Anyway, I hope Oscar De La Hoya is the victor tommorow night.

I certainly hope DLH wins. He definitely has more class than PBF. However, DLH may be past his prime, while PBF is peaking. I want DLH to win, but he is in for a fight, I wouldnt bet on him.

I hope Oscar can win. It's going to be a tough fight, and it's hard to say if he's got the endurance. He's getting up there in age.

On a side note, Oscar De La Hoya will be on the next season of Dancing With the Stars. Mario Lopez interviewed him on Extra, and he confirmed it.
