DIdnt like this as much as I liked the first, but I still thought this was really good.
Performances were great and I loved the mystery of it all. I really had no idea where the film was going and I dug that. I can't say that I felt that way about many films.
The action sequences were great. None of them topped the brief maze collapsing scene from the first movie, but still. Just give Wes Ball the Last of Us adaptation because he directed the best zombie action scenes Ive seen in a long long time. They were tense, they were exciting, they were good.
The downside is that I felt the film had pacing issues and that's my main problem. I was kind bored during a lot of the scenes.
But still it was good. I'll be picking this up when it comes on Blu Ray. This is a very cool "smaller" franchise. I'll be sad to see it go after the final film.
